We have had lots of fun at Thame Library this half-term break!

We kicked things off with a visit from the wonderful Guide Dogs. Flo and Velvet spent Monday afternoon with us, and everyone enjoyed learning about the incredible work these amazing dogs do to support people with sight loss.

Throughout the week, children have been taking part in our Winnie-the-Pooh treasure trail to celebrate the 100th birthday of everyone's favourite bear.

On Saturday, we got creative at our special Halloween junk modelling session, making all sorts of spooky creations. And, of course, we have had plenty of frightfully good books available to read and borrow!

On Tuesday 13th October we are welcoming Dr Blanka Kellermayer to the Library. Blanka is a neuroscientist and peaceful parenting coach specialising in ADHD, emotional regulation, and brain development. She combines neuroscience with practical, compassionate parenting strategies to help families reduce daily struggles and build a stronger connection. As both a scientist and a parent of a child with ADHD, her work is grounded in research and shaped by real life experience.

This practical and supportive workshop will help parents and carers understand what is really happening beneath their child's behaviour. Blanka will explain why traditional correction often backfires with ADHD, and what actually works.

Booking is essential. Collect your FREE ticket from the Library or call us on 01865 815190 to reserve your place.
