We chose to become an academy in August 2011 and are one of the highest-achieving non-selective girls’ School in Kent. We are a creative, inclusive school where all students flourish and make exceptional progress. Our dynamic Performing and Visual Arts specialisms have a profound impact upon learning and contribute to the purposeful, friendly and stimulating atmosphere that permeates the school. We foster self-esteem and high aspirations. By encouraging a β€˜can-do’ culture, our students become astute, ambitious and independent. Visitors often comment about how articulate and enthusiastic our students are. We also have a proven track record of excellent results (In 2016, 67% of our students achieved 5 or more GCSEs, grades A*-C including English and Maths). Our rich, varied curriculum engages our students and equips them with the skills they need to make their way in the world. We help students develop a range of transferable skills from teamwork, leadership and independence through to communication, self-expression and time management. Our strong pastoral system ensures that behaviour is excellent and there is a relaxed but purposeful atmosphere throughout the school where young people can thrive and feel supported. We have a vibrant, mixed Sixth Form that provides a variety of pathways for students to extend their learning, gain work experience with one of our many industry partners and prepare for university or work.

Earlier this week, our Year 7 students had an amazing adventure at Lower Grange Farm! It was the perfect chance for them to step outside the classroom, make new friends, and strengthen existing bonds in a fun and unique setting.

Through a variety of exciting group activities, students worked together, encouraged each other, and learned the true value of communication, teamwork, and trust. The enthusiasm they showed was inspiring, and it was heartwarming to witness so many positive interactions and celebrations of each other's achievements throughout the day. πŸŽ‰

We're so proud of our Year 7 students for their positive attitude and active participation! We hope they returned home with wonderful memories and a stronger sense of belonging in our Year 7 community. Here's to many more adventures ahead! 🌟

The View @ Avebury is a provision based in the heart of Tonbridge. It is a comfortable and small-scale study centre for 16 to 18-year-old students. This Satellite Centre, of the highly successful Hillview School for Girls, offers the highest level of support through a personalised and nurturing approach to its students, with dedicated tutors and pastoral support. This centre supports young people who would benefit and prefer to study in a smaller learning environment.

Within the centre we also support Year 10 &11 students from other local schools with an anxiety-based school avoidance programme. Within the five years of supporting Post 16 and Year 11 students, there is proven success of the work we do with our students with over 92% annually of all our students having a positive destination in education or training.

Additional Learning Support at TV@AV is designed to remove any potential barriers to learning and ensure successful outcomes. We work closely with all our students and parents to organise support and make reasonable adjustments to their learning experiences to enable positive outcomes emotionally, socially and academically.

Hillview has a dedicated team supporting learners to think innovatively through an inspiring range of activities in lessons and as part of our extensive extra-curricular offer. We are an inclusive environment which believes that SEND learners are best supported in the classroom, with a specialist teacher so LSA’s will often support in the classroom. However, we also offer an intervention programme in small groups and one to one within the Learning Support Department as well as duty desk oversight of our learning support hub. Your role may be in the classroom or the hub depending on the dynamic and changing needs of the department
