We are proud to be supporting this year’s Lantern Parade which brings people together for a memorable evening shining a light on our town’s wonderful creativity 🏮

The parade is on Tuesday 8th December, coinciding with the first Christmas Market of the year, so we’re expecting a fantastic turnout of people to take part and spectate.

Our Maintenance Team have been busy clearing the gutters on the Civic Hall and getting preparations underway ready for the Christmas Light Switch On.

Looking for something a bit different to do this weekend?
The Inflatable Fun Day at Totnes Leisure Centre is back on Sunday and there are still spaces available!
With two family sessions for ages 8+ at 11.30am and 1pm, and a later afternoon session for age 16+ at 2pm, this really is a fantastic way to have some fun!

We know how important Leechwell Gardens are for all of us in Totnes. Please join us in helping to support it. 💗

Our weekly volunteer gardening programme costs £120 per session, and we urgently need to fund 42 sessions for 2027 – £5,500 in total

Totnes Town Council is inviting quotes for its grounds maintenance. 🌱

The contract is for grounds maintenance at Totnes Cemetery, Plymouth Road, Totnes and Castle Meadow, Totnes, with the initial contract for two years from 1st April 2027 to 31st March 2029.

The trees on the Plains have been especially lit up in rainbow hues for Totnes Pride, which opened today. We are very pleased to be able to use them for this event, before they come alive again for Christmas! 🌈

£52,077 awarded to support our local community 🎉
We’re pleased to announce the organisations receiving funding through our Strategic Grants Fund for 2026/27:

💚 TRAYE – £12,000 for youth programmes
🥕 Food in Community – £9,000 for food security
🤝 Caring Town – £8,000 for community coordination
🚌 Totnes Caring – £8,000 for community transport
🎵 Jamming Station – £8,000 for youth programmes
💬 Citizens Advice – £4,577 for general support and community outreach into Bridgetown
🥫 Stepping Stones Food Bank – £2,500 for food security

Councillors agreed to increase the original £50,000 budget to £52,077, using savings elsewhere in the Council’s budget, so that every organisation that applied could receive an award.
