Update 11:25 - the below issue is now resolved

Due to a power outage over the weekend caused by the storms, the lifts at Ulverston Health Centre are currently out of service. This has been reported to NHS Property Services, and an engineer is expected on site shortly.
If you have an appointment today and are unable to use the stairs to access the practice, please contact us on 01229 484141.
We will arrange an alternative appointment or ensure you are seen by a clinician in a ground floor room.

The surgery will be closed from 1:00pm tomorrow (Thursday 15th October) for mandatory staff training.
We will reopen at 8:00am Friday 16th September as usual.

Update 11:00:
The issue with our telephone lines is now resolved. Thank you for your patience while we resolved this issue.
Please note, there may be longer queues to get through to our reception team as they work through the backlog.

Our telephone lines are currently down, and we are unable to receive calls into Ulverston Medical Practice.

We have urgently escalated the issue to our IT team and telephone provider and are awaiting an update. We will keep patients informed and share further updates on Facebook.

A time-limited MenB vaccine offer is available now for eligible young people, including those who will be starting university as undergraduates or moving into residential further education settings for the first time in autumn 2026.

Eligible students will need 2 doses of the MenB vaccine for protection, given at least 4 weeks apart, with the first being offered from 20 July and the second dose from August.

The surgery is not able to book or administer this - they are being delivered by pharmacies.
