"Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads" Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia
Life on the salt flats is simple: drive that way, set up camp, scramble up a hill, watch the sunset. Wake up at 3 am to stargaze once the moon sets. The next day wake up, make coffees, dress up in your most colorful outfit and put on your pit vipers for a photoshoot. Repeat until the beer runs out.

Watching the sunset together over a misty valley in the remote Central Balkan mountains in Bulgaria. Not every day is like this on the road - in fact, most are far from it. But it’s nice to slow down and enjoy the simpler things now and then.

Working on the road can be difficult because you always want to be outside or doing something exciting. It's tempting to fill your days with as much adventure as possible because it's right there! Thinking long term though, an income is obviously required to keep the journey going so I work online and do what I love to keep fuel in the tank!

Our van „Bert,“ an air-cooled 2.0 l boxer Westfalia Joker 1980, somewhere in Brandenburg, standing between two rape-fields. He came into our lives in 2016, and we gave him a second life by restoring him completely. He quickly became a family member and took us on amazing trips to Lithuania, Crete Island, and Greece.

Photo of the day by | My bus was originally a school bus, church bus, and then a prison bus. Living in the bus has given Norm and me the freedom to do almost whatever we want. I’ve seen places I once dreamed of seeing, made friends with some awesome people and heard some wild stories around campfires in the middle of the desert. Who would have thought an old prison bus would bring so much joy!
