Telford & Wrekin Councillors’ Pride Fund: Backing Local People, Building Better Communities

It’s the smaller things that can make the biggest difference. 💛

A youth group given room to grow.
A community café bringing people together. ☕
A neglected local space brought back to life. 🌱
A project helping someone feel less isolated. 🤝

That’s what the Telford & Wrekin Councillors’ Pride Fund is all about.

Over the last three years, the fund has supported more than 1,000 projects — from youth activities and community cafés to environmental improvements and work tackling loneliness and social isolation.

And Labour in Telford and Wrekin is keeping it going. We’ve committed more than £1 million because we believe investment should back the people already working hard to make our communities better.

Back local people. Get things done. 💪

🏘️ Working for Wellington – Bringing Our Post Office Back! 📮

Wellington deserves a thriving town centre, and your Labour Councillors continue to work hard to help make that happen!

Through Wellington Town Council, we have led the way in purchasing the former Halifax building, and we continue to drive forward its renovation.

📆 With contractors already on site, work is anticipated to complete in the Spring.

❤️ We know how much the Post Office is needed. That's why we opened talks to share our plans with Regional Post Office managers, prior to the Market Street branch closing.

👏 This is about more than bricks and mortar. It's about listening to residents, investing in our town and taking practical action to deliver the facilities Wellington needs and deserves.

There is still work to do, but we are committed to keeping things moving and turning this ambition into reality.

🌹 Labour councillors are proud to be working for Wellington — investing in our town, supporting our community and building for the future.

📣 What would having a Post Office back in Wellington mean to you? Let us know in the comments!

New Great British Energy funding will help communities take action on climate change and benefit from the transition to clean energy
🌱

Telford & Wrekin Council will work with communities across the Wrekin to help them access funding and bring more local control over energy production.

That means cleaner power, stronger communities and the chance to benefit from renewable energy projects in the area ⚡🏘️

More children in Telford and Wrekin are seeing an NHS dentist than two years ago — 2,295 more. 🦷
That progress reflects investment and reform after years of pressure on NHS dental services. 👏
It’s an important step forward, and families in Telford and Wrekin want to see that progress continue, with even more children able to access the care they need. 💙
