Madhuri ex Independent Cllr Foxborough Ward I believe local politics should be about, and for local people and the issues that impact our day-to-day lives.

I have had the honour of representing the residents of Foxborough since 2016, a time in which I have committed myself to ensure the wellbeing of residents is of utmost priority. Be it anti-social behaviour, crime, parking, street lighting/cleaning, mental and physical health and wellbeing, green spaces, potholes, or the response times from partners such as Osbornes, these are the things that impact our daily lives and are not given priority. Holding the title of Cllr for me is not a badge, it is a position that enables me to serve the community with pride, passion, and dedication each and every day, ensuring I am here for residents in their times of need, rather than simply being an unknown face on a leaflet. I am passionate about Foxborough, Langley, and Slough’s communities and I aspire to work with residents and stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for the ward and its community to ensure we continue the journey of .

Join the Mothers Together Walk in Solidarity Against Knife Crime on Saturday 16th November at 12pm - Harvey Park, Langley, Slough.

Dear Slough and Langley residents,

We are reaching out to invite you to join us for a powerful walk against knife crime. Knife crime is a growing crisis in Slough, and we need to come together to protect our communities.

In the past year alone, knife-related incidents in Slough have risen by over 25%, with a significant number of those affected being young people under 25. Every statistic represents a life impacted and a family changed forever. This is a chance for us to collectively act and demand a safer community.

Why your presence matters:

Stand in Solidarity: This walk is led by mothers, one of whose son was tragically stabbed and killed in Langley. By joining, we stand with her, and with all those affected families whose lives have shattered and will never be the same. And we stand with our young people who deserve a life free from violence.

Raise Awareness: Each step we take will amplify the message that knife crime cannot be ignored. We are calling for immediate action to protect our children and make our streets safer.

Building a Movement for Change: We believe that by coming together, we can make our voices heard and spark the change that’s so desperately needed. Let’s show leaders, schools, and communities that we care deeply and that we’re committed to ending this crisis.

Be Part of the Difference: We can turn away and believe nothing will change, or we can join forces to make an impact. Your presence shows that we are united and committed to change.

Please join us on Saturday at 12pm. Share this message and image with your family, friends, and anyone who wants to be part of creating a safer future. Together, we can make a difference.

With hope and solidarity,

Mothers Together 🙏

Before the School holidays begin, I wanted to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Pioneer Family Partnership for hosting this year's Give a Gift event for another year running. And WOW, what an event it was.

To see the smile on just one person's face would have made the collective weeks of efforts worth it. Instead what we saw was a room full of happiness, community spirit, warmth, joy, camaraderie, and togetherness,
that was immensely heartwarming and will stay with us forever.

This event would not have possible if it were not for the generosity of students and teachers from both Foxborough and Upton Court Grammer Schools who raised much needed funds to buy gifts for both adults and children, and not forgetting for the Santa's Grotto.

The Slough Hub volunteers, along with students from Upton Court Grammar School were hands on entertaining children all day. They also wrapped lots of presents selected by children as a surprise for their grown up to open on Christmas Day.

My immense gratitude goes out to the Trusts Co-CEO and Director of Education, Antonia Spinks who volunteered throughout the day, as did so many staff from the Trust.
Gurminder Khutan and Viv Gibbons, (Pioneer Education Trust) worked tirelessly to ensure the day was perfect for all who attended. Finally, a huge thank you Big on Bouncing for kindly lending us their Grotto and being a collection point. Thank you also to Slough Hub for helping on thr day, Asian Star Radio for sharing details of the event and collecting donatins, and to all the residents who kindly donated gifts / funds to make the day possible.

Lastly a huge thank you to Santa and Mrs Claus (Patrick and Debbie Reid) for their immense support before, during and after the event.

Thank you all. 🙏❤️

On Saturday 9th December, Foxborough school will once again open it doors to enable families who are struggling to come along and select gifts for their children to open on Christmas day. Over the past years, with the support of local businesses, organisations and Sloughs community, we have been able to ensure anybody who attends leaves with gifts from their children.

We are once again appealing to your generosity for Christmas donations to ensure that no child, no matter what age, goes without a gift this Christmas. The Vishaal Foundation warmly invites you and your loved ones to our Annual Wave of Light Service on Saturday 15th October at 7pm.

We welcome anybody who has been touched by the loss of a child at any point during pregnancy, birth, childhood, or into adulthood.

The Wave of Light is a global event that falls at the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week from Monday 9th to Sunday 15th October. The Wave of Light enables families throughout the world to come together and light a candle at 7 pm in their individual time zones and leave it burning for some time. These candles are lit to create a ripple of light throughout the world, in honour and rememberence of our children gone too soon.

We will have candles and lanterns ready for you to write your personal message and we hope that you will stay with us for tea or coffee after floating your candle in the lake at Herschel Park, Slough.

Please do not hesitate to reach out should you have any questions. ❤

We would appreciate it if you would kindly share these details to give those who would wish to attend, the opportunity to do so. 🙏

Warmest wishes
Madhuri and the Vishaal Foundation committee members.

This event would not be possible without all the many businesses and community groups who so readily offer us their support. Our gratitude goes out to you all. 🙏❤️

Hi all, I have been contacted by Shanelle who is the amazing lady behind the Uniform Express initiative that enables Sloughs parents and carers to purchase Junior and Secondary school uniform at a fraction of the high costs originally charged in shops.

Shanelle has asked me to let the local community know the Uniform Express Store has opened its doors once again and can be found in Slough Observatory opposite Shoezone. The store is opened every Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday between 12.30pm-3.30pm until the start of the new school term.

I would appreciate it if you could share this post to ensure anybody who would benefit from purchasing this Uniform is made aware. 🙏

Thank you

It was so beautiful and heartwarming to see so many members of the Foxborough community waiting to pay their respects to Raj before his cremation this morning. Raj's family were deeply touched as they had not expected to see so many people there. As it was also school drop off time and a working day, I know there were many residents who were unable to attend and as such I share the below video with you. There were flowers, tears, a condolences book, and a huge applause for Raj as he left Cheviot Rd for the last time. Not for the first time was I touched by Foxborough residents who once again displayed a community at it best.

RIP Raj, thank you for the incredible memories , friendship and support you gave to the community. You will forever be missed. 🙏❤️
