✨ FIREWORKS ARE BACK! ✨

Wadebridge Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the return of the spectacular New Year’s Eve Fireworks display! 🎆 After a years absence we are bringing back this beloved tradition to ring in the New Year together.

To make this magical evening safe and successful for everyone, we need your help!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED (Just 30 Mins!)
We are looking for 10 community-minded individuals to help marshal on the evening. It’s a very short commitment—just 30 minutes of your night—and it makes a massive difference in keeping our town safe.

💛 SUPPORT THE DISPLAY
Being mindful of local wildlife, household pets and animals, these will be quieter fireworks. Putting on a display takes a lot of resources. We want to make this year unforgettable, so we are launching an official GoFundMe page to help supplement the donations already made be several brilliant local businesses. If you love the fireworks and want to support the event, every single pound helps fund the display.

We’re 97% Independent!

Wadebridge could be bucking the trend in the world of retail.

Research is underway to try and prove that the Cornish market town has the most independent businesses than any other in the country!

Darren Rowe, member of the Wadebridge Town Team said: “ I’m still putting together the final details but I believe that Wadebridge has 97% independently owned (and run) businesses! With minimal shop vacancies.”

Next nearest town with high figures is Totnes, who are well known for being an “indie” town. Their figures are 77% independent, 7 regional and 15% national.

Darren added: “The largest “indie” town in the country is Hebden Bridge, but we are confident that we can prove Wadebridge has the highest figures.

Wadebridge Centre Streets and Spaces: Designing a better place to walk, wheel,
cycle and spend time in central Wadebridge.
Walk Wheel Cycle Trust is working with Cornwall Council to develop proposals for
some streets and public spaces in central Wadebridge. This will make the area
safer, easier, and more inviting for more people to walk, wheel, cycle, and spend
time.
The proposals include making the high street more accessible, welcoming, and
better connected, so more people can enjoy it. They will also include a proposed
realignment of the Camel Trail, linking the town with Padstow and Bodmin.
We are inviting local people, organisations, and businesses to share feedback and
help shape the initial design proposals.
Whether that’s from your experiences of walking, wheeling, cycling or driving,
your input will help us propose improvements that work for as many people as
possible. Join us at our in-person event and share your views on
our initial designs:
