đź’ś This week is Children of Foster Carers Week, a chance to celebrate the amazing young people who share their families, their homes and their hearts with children in care.
When a child comes into a fostering household, it can be a whole family effort. Children of foster carers often play an important role in helping foster children feel welcome, included and at home.
That's why one of our favourite moments at our annual Celebration Event is recognising incredible children of foster carers through our special awards. We are proud to celebrate young people whose kindness, patience and support have made a real difference to children and young people in care.
Interested in finding out more about fostering and becoming part of our fostering community? Join us at our Celebration Event on 4 November or get in touch with the team today.

Could you make a difference to a child's future?
The government has today launched England's first national fostering recruitment campaign, aiming to create 10,000 new foster care places and encourage more people to consider fostering.
Research shows that many people have the values and skills needed to foster but rule themselves out before finding out more. The campaign highlights that foster carers come from all walks of life and that there are now more flexible ways to get involved than ever before.
Every child deserves a safe, stable and loving home. If you've ever thought about fostering, now could be the time to explore how you could change a child's story.

Campaign launched with backing of foster carers and care-experienced influencers as part of government plans to create 10,000 new foster places.

“Today I am meeting up with two of my former foster daughters and their children. Seeing them as two brilliant adults is so wonderful. That is the satisfaction, giving a home and support to a young person so they can just be themselves and have a good life, despite the trauma they went through when they were younger.”
The impact of fostering can last a lifetime. For one of our foster carers, one of the greatest rewards is seeing the children they've cared for grow into happy, thriving adults. The love, stability and support foster carers provide can help young people overcome challenges and build bright futures.

Fostering changes lives, not just for children in care, but for the whole family. ❤️
As part of Children of Foster Carers Week, hear from children of foster carers as they share what fostering has meant to them.
"I've gained extra family members which I'm grateful for."
"It opened my heart and taught me empathy."

Their experiences show how fostering helps create caring, resilient and compassionate families, while making a life-changing difference to local children and young people.

Every child deserves someone they can talk to. Good mental health starts with feeling safe, supported and listened to. Foster carers play a crucial role in helping children and young people build confidence, develop resilience and know that someone is there for them through life's challenges. Today is World Mental Health Day, we're recognising the positive difference that stable, nurturing relationships can make in a young person's life.

Could you help provide the support a child needs to thrive? We would love to hear from you. Send us a dm, visit our website or call us on 0800 408 1556. We're waiting to welcome you!

đź’ś This week is Kinship Care Week - a time to recognise and celebrate the relatives and friends who step up to raise children when they are unable to live with their parents.
Kinship carers provide love, stability and security, helping children stay connected to the people and communities that matter most to them.
