The Donations Fairy brought a lovely lady to our table outside Waitrose last week who rather tentatively offered us this amazing steam cleaner.........we very nearly bit her hand off!
The library team have just put this super duper toy through its paces on a kitchen extractor grease filter, which was so grimy you could have used the contents trapped in it to lubricate a tractor.
The combination of the steam and the little brush accessory cut through the grease in seconds. Very little elbow grease needed (if you'll pardon the pun) so the verdict is a definite 10/10 from the library team.

The library team were at Waitrose in Rickmansworth today to raise awareness of who we are and what we are offering local communities. The staff at Waitrose made us feel so welcome, and we met some lovely locals interested in becoming members or offering donations for our stock. We were visited by the beautiful soul that is Flo (the zumba goddess) from Woodoaks Farm bakery and were able to add a bit of support to our buddy Jane from Random Cafe - Sustainable Watford, who will be one of this month’s beneficiaries of Waitrose Green tokens.
All in all, a very fine day

The library team are thrilled to announce a series of 6 Monday lunchtime sessions exploring simple ways we can Spend Less and Save More, benefitting not just our purses, but the planet too!
These free sessions will be run by our friends at Grand Union Community Energy (GUCE) and participants attending at least 4 sessions will be offered complimentary thermal images of their home from one of GUCE’s energy champions, giving you an idea of where your home might be losing energy.
There are 20 places available at each session, which can be booked by registering online at https://thelibraryofrequirements.lend-engine-app.com/ and then heading to the events tab to book your place.

The wonderful management team at Croxley Park are holding a cake sale tomorrow. Last year they raised a staggering £800 for MacMillan, but they are hopeful that this year’s sale will top that!!
Cake will be available at The Crafted Kitchen in The Hive between 10am - 2pm

One of our members scored a majestic win at her son’s party by booking our fabulous football table. It fits neatly in the back of a car with folding seats, and after a short spurt of assembly tasks, it’s ready for kick off!
