Did you know you can paint on both sides of a sheet of Saunders Waterford®?
As a Mould Made paper, Saunders Waterford® has a ‘felt side’ and a ‘mould side’. The felt side is considered the superior painting side and is presented uppermost when we pack the paper.
However, our papermakers work hard to minimise the differences between the two sides, meaning artists can successfully use the mould side for watercolour.
It’s a useful quality characteristic thrown in by our papermakers that means artists can get the very most out of the sheet by just turning it over.
