This is such great news for Ettingshall, Chris will be an incredibly strong voice for residents and families in the area. For many years he’s worked as a volunteer in Ettingshall, supporting campaigns for local people and bringing investment into the city and area. Our community couldn’t ask for a better representative. Eight years, countless cups of tea … and two trustees who still somehow manage to smile for the camera!

These smiling faces? They’re the faces of two Grantham Yorke Trust trustees who’ve just allocated £77,500 to charities and groups across the West Midlands - all focused on giving young people the opportunities, confidence and support they deserve.

I’ve been a trustee for almost eight years now, and every quarter I’m reminded why I said yes in the first place. We get to sit around a table, hear the stories of brilliant organisations doing real, tangible work, and make decisions that genuinely change lives for young people across the Midlands ❤️

It’s life changing. It’s grounding. And it’s a privilege I never take for granted.

And… we’re looking for a new trustee!

If you have a background in children’s services, social work, or supporting young people- and you care deeply about creating opportunities across the Midlands- we’d love to welcome someone who shares that passion. Drop me a DM!

Looking forward to the next quarter, the next round of funding, and the next generation we’re backing 💛 Gurbax for Graiseley

I’m calling it now … the best Italian food in Wolverhampton at The Bricks Kitchen & Bar 😍 we visited for the first time today and everything from the food, to the drinks and service was 10/10! Highly recommend!

We’re coming to the end of Volunteers’ Week, so here’s a little shout‑out to the thing that makes my Sundays brighter.

I became a Park Yoga Wolverhampton volunteer last year because I wanted to give back in a way that felt joyful, outdoorsy and actually doable around real life.

My favourite part? Connecting with people, especially new mums who arrive a bit unsure and leave lighter, calmer and proud they made time for themselves.

And yes, I volunteer and do the yoga session 🧘. A bit of set‑up, a bit of community, then a full hour to reset. The truth is Yoga has lifted me from some dark times lately.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely. If you want a good stretch and a peaceful start to your Sunday, Park Yoga is a beautiful place to be.

Curious about joining or volunteering? Head to Park Yoga it might be exactly what you didn’t know you needed 💚

Join the crew this Sunday and every Sunday until September at 9.30AM in East Park!

Today reminded me what real hope feels like. Being out in the community, hearing people talk about the future they want, you realise how much it matters to have leaders who actually understand your life, people who feel like one of us.

And at a time when some groups are peddling division and trying to turn neighbour against neighbour, it felt good to stand with people who believe in unity, fairness and a future built together.

Today wasn’t just conversations, it was connection, optimism and that shared belief that things can get better when we shape the future side by side.

🎨 Messy Arts & Crafts Play is coming to Bilston! 🌈

Julia Farrell Freda and Berties Photography & Unique Gifts is bringing her fun, inclusive and welcoming sessions for little ones (ages 3–10) to The Wool Ladies, 28 High Street, Bilston, WV14 0EP - starting 27th July 2026 and running every Monday, 10 AM – 12 PM, throughout the school summer holidays.

It’s all about letting children explore their imaginations through creative play - a lovely way to spend a summer morning together.

There are 16 places per session, so pop into The Wool Shop Bilston and speak to Sam to find out prices and book your spot. She’ll make you feel right at home! 💛

Let’s support local creativity and community fun - Bilston’s about to get messy (in the best way)!
