The Town Mayor, Councillor Sally Harrison, and our Community Coordinator visited the Charity Christmas Card Shop at Wilmslow Library today 🎄

Sally presented shop founder Sheila Hallas with a floral arrangement to thank her for extraordinary 55-year contribution to local charities and the Wilmslow community.

After more than five decades and having helped raise more than ÂŁ6 million for local, national and international charities, 2026 is the final year of the Charity Christmas Card & Gift Shops.

100% of card sales go directly to the charities, while all shop staff give their time as volunteers and the shops’ overheads are covered through the sale of wrapping paper, gifts, toys and decorations.

The shop is located upstairs in Wilmslow Library and is open until 5th December - do take a look! 🎅

🏆 This year, we introduced a £50 prize draw for those who took part in our annual Residents' Survey.
The Town Mayor had the lovely job of picking the winner, using a random number generator, a few weeks ago.
Zoë Bull was the lucky resident selected and she chose a £50 Waterstones voucher.
We hope Zoë and her family enjoyed choosing some new books 📚
Thanks once again to all who took part in our 2026 survey. Please keep your eyes peeled for the results.
