🎶 What a fantastic Double Reed Day! 🎶
On Sunday, more than 30 double reed players of all ages came together for a wonderful day of music-making. From learning and rehearsing a wide range of pieces to sharing performances with one another, it was inspiring to see such enthusiasm, teamwork and musical talent on display.
Participants also enjoyed listening to a performance by HMS staff, making it a truly special opportunity to learn, perform and celebrate the double reed family together.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a success.
Save the date - our next Double Reed day will be on 31st January 2027!

🎷🏆 We're delighted to share that Hampshire Music Education Hub has been named winner of the Music Hub and Schools Music Services Jazz Education Award at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards 2026.

This national award recognises the breadth and impact of jazz education across Hampshire, from classroom music-making and creative improvisation projects to school bands, outreach performances, workshops, area ensembles and the Hampshire County Youth Jazz Centre.

We were honoured to be shortlisted alongside such fantastic Music Services from across the country, making this recognition even more special.

This achievement belongs to our incredible staff, schools, partners, families and, most importantly, the thousands of young people who make music with us every year. Thank you for your talent, commitment and enthusiasm.

We're proud that Hampshire's commitment to high-quality, inclusive and ambitious music education has been recognised on a national stage.
