After 29 years' service, Crew Manager Matty Lewis completed his final shift at Northwich Fire Station at the weekend ahead of his retirement.

UPDATE | Firefighters are making good progress tackling the fire involving a large industrial unit at Fiddlers Ferry Power Station.

Everyone on site has been accounted for. The aerial ladder platform is being used to get water to the affected area.

We have a large number of fire engines and specialist appliances on scene.
