You can find Bal in the Allotment every Saturday from 9am - 1:30pm serving her freshly homemade delicacies!

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Staffordshire Police for their rapid response to our burglary on Saturday night! Getting there in less than 2 minutes from point of entry meant the perpetrators were caught red handed and all losses were recovered 😊 Thank you Staffordshire Police and everyone’s lovely comments since ❤️

Today marks 10 years since our little shop opened its doors! 🎉

If it wasn’t for the hard work of all of our past and present staff, the support of our wonderful customers and the lovely community which it resides in The Allotment wouldn’t have lasted the first 12 months, let alone a decade!

We say a temporary farewell to our Becky today as she embarks on maternity leave! 👶🏼
From the very beginning she has been a pleasure to have working at the shop and will be missed by everyone, we’re sad to see you go Becky but can’t wait to meet little Daisy! ❤️

Wishing all our lovely customers a Happy New Year and a huge thank you for your support though the madness of the past one!

We entered 2020 with the knowledge that The Parade had been sold and our rent was to double. This in itself put the future of The Allotment in severe jeopardy but when we were forced to close the coffee shop in March in line with Covid restrictions we feared the shop wouldn't last the month, let alone the year....thankfully through the support of our wonderful customers we made it! ❤

Due to the tireless sense of fortitude and diligence of our amazing staff - Lisa, Carole, Becky and Lucy we have maintained a postal service to the village and beyond every single day of the pandemic, their hard work and selfless dedication to the job has meant that while most things were falling apart, the post has remained consistent.

Coven is a wonderful place and if the past year has taught me anything it is the true value of community, strangers helping strangers. From neighbours collecting food and shopping for those sheltering to an outpouring of generosity for those struggling financially, it has been a priviledge to witness the kindness and love within our community.

The past year may have been awful but there's plenty to look forward to in 2021, not least the return of our Carole and The Allotments 10th birthday in April!

Once again, thank you for your support throughout this difficult year and best wishes for the next.

Local shops breathe so much variety and soul into villages and towns and we couldn't be prouder of them all! The old cliche of “use it or lose it” has never been truer!

We've all worked very hard this year against tremendous adversity and appreciate the support of our wonderful customers! 😊

Coven Matters

During half term we have free pre-packed childrens lunches available, ready and waiting for those who may require them. Discretion is assured, simply ask an assistant for a childs lunch. This offer is not limited to residence of the village or our neighbours, if you know of a child in need anywhere please do not hesitate to pick up a free lunch for them.

If the world had been different and she had not had to leave prematurely due to the virus we would be officially saying goodbye to our lovely Carole today so she can help look after her gorgeous grandson Harry and enjoy a well deserved retirement!
Carole has put in an incredible 21 years service to the Post Office, 6 of them in The Allotment and she will be missed more than words can ever convey. Her depth of knowledge and attention to detail is paralleld only by her warm and careing approach to customer service. Carole has been with us through thick and thin and I really don’t know what we will do without her! I am certain everyone of our customers will join me in wishing Carole a fantastic retirement!
