It’s always great to hear positive feedback from our local community!

Recently, our Grounds Maintenance team trimmed back an overgrown hedge along Station Road in Southwold, helping to clear sightlines and make crossing the busy road safer for local schoolchildren and pedestrians.

At East Suffolk Services, keeping our residents safe and our public spaces clear and well-maintained is at the core of everything we do.

Whether it's essential hedge cutting, keeping pathways accessible, or tailored grounds upkeep, our teams deliver reliable, high-quality services and take pride in every job they do across East Suffolk.

Thank you to the team for another job well done!

We love hedges but not when they endanger schoolchildren crossing a busy road. Thanks to East Suffolk Services for cutting this back in Station Road, Southwold.

Such a fantastic project to be part of!

Care for our community and pride in our public spaces are at the heart of what we do at East Suffolk Services.

We were delighted to collaborate with the Painting and Decorating students at East Coast College to give them hands-on experience on a live site, while making a real, visible difference to a spot so many people pass every day.

We hope you all enjoy the shiny new harbour railings in Lowestoft!

Take a look at this site transformation!

Our Facilities Management team recently completed a major fly-tipping clearance for East Suffolk Council, removing heaps of tyres, furniture, and building debris to bring the space back to a clean, usable condition.

Beyond one-off clearances, we offer complete Facilities Management support to keep areas maintained, safe, and fully operational.

A huge well done to all those who worked to clear this up.

Thank you, Councillor Letitia Smith and Councillor Myles Scrancher, for funding this space and thank you, Carlton Colville Community Centre, for entrusting us with this project.

Two bins and a picnic table doesn't sound like much, but at East Suffolk Services, we believe that high-quality outdoor spaces are the heart of any community. They are where local families gather, kids engage in active play, and lifelong memories are made.

Delivering these spaces takes more than just equipment; it requires a full end-to-end team. Alongside working with local councils, we also partner directly with house builders, commercial developers, and residential estate managers to bring custom play areas and green spaces to life.

From initial site groundwork and equipment installation to ongoing site maintenance, we make sure every space stays safe, inviting, and built to last.

More Than Just a Bin Collection...

We were incredibly proud to receive this feedback after members of one of our refuse collection crews stopped to help when a resident's daughter became unwell.

Their kindness, compassion and willingness to step in when someone needed help is something to be celebrated.

Our crews do far more than collect bins, and stories like this remind us just how much these Hi Vis Heroes contribute to the communities they serve every day.

Thank you to this crew, and to all our crews, for the difference you make everyday.

Due to the persistent hot temperatures across the past few days and the significant impact these have had on our operational teams working outdoors, we have taken the difficult decision to suspend some waste collection services in parts of the district today.

The welfare and safety of our staff will always be our priority when weather conditions present significant challenges for crews.

This suspension primarily affects rounds in the south of the district, including Kesgrave, Nacton, Woodbridge, Kirton, Martlesham, Little Bealings, Rushmere St Andrew, Bucklesham, Purdis Farm and Foxhall.

Households that do not receive a collection in these locations today are advised to leave their bins on the kerbside and crews will endeavour to catch up tomorrow and on Monday.

Priority will be given to general and garden waste collections; therefore, if your recycling containers are not emptied by close of play on Monday, please store for collection on your next scheduled date.

Food waste collections which are not completed will also take place on the next scheduled date and households are advised to either place this waste in your residual bin, or store in your large caddy, with the handle locked up, until your next collection.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding.
