Worcestershire Safeguarding Adults Board (WSAB) would like to recognise those individuals and organisations who work hard to ensure that adults with care and support needs, alongside their families and carers, are kept safe and well. As well as recognising the important work of people and teams from health and social care, we also want to hear about those people, outside of these services, who notice things which aren’t right and act through our Safeguarding is Everybody’s Business Category.
Please submit your nominations, the closing date is the morning of 1st October 2025.
The categories are:
• Best Safeguarding Practice – Practitioner - A practitioner who has gone above and beyond to provide support for someone with care and support needs who is at risk of self-neglect or being abused.
• Best Safeguarding Practice – Team/ Multi-agency work - An organisation, team or multi-agency group who have gone above and beyond to provide support to reduce the risks of abuse or self-neglect for an individual, or a group of people, with care and support needs.
• Safeguarding is Everybody’s Business Award - An award for any employee of any partner agency, not necessarily from a health or adult social care team, who noticed something was “not right” as part of their daily work and took some action.
• Safeguarding Champion - Any individual who has shown a dedicated and/or ongoing commitment to supporting and promoting safeguarding work
If you would like to nominate someone, please fill out the WSAB Annual Safeguarding Awards 2026 Nomination Form,
The awards will be presented at our Safeguarding Recognition Awards 2026 event on Wednesday 18th November 2026.
