60 mlynedd yn ôl, ar 21 Hydref 1966, lladdwyd 116 o blant a 28 o oedolion yn nhrychineb Aberfan, a achoswyd gan esgeulustod y Bwrdd Glo Cenedlaethol.

Heddiw, cofiwn y rhai a gollodd eu bywydau, a safwn ysgwydd yn ysgwydd â chymuned Aberfan, nawr ac am byth. 🤍

60 years ago, on 21 October 1966, 116 children and 28 adults were killed in the Aberfan disaster, caused by the negligence of the National Coal Board.

Today, we remember those who lost their lives and stand shoulder to shoulder with the community of Aberfan, now and always. 🤍

Plaid Cymru are introducing free swimming and water safety lessons for all pupils in years 4 and 5.

The Nofio Ysgol scheme offers every eligible child in Cymru a minimum of 20 free swimming lessons covering water confidence, self-rescue and basic swimming competence.

PlaId Wrecsam are delighted that Wrecsam will be one of the initial locations for the rollout of the scheme and are delighted that a Plaid Cymru Welsh Government with the support of our local Plaid MS Marc Jones and Carrie Harper have implemented this policy that will help provide local children with this vital life skill.

Mae Plaid Cymru yn cyflwyno gwersi nofio a diogelwch dŵr am ddim i bob disgybl ym mlynyddoedd 4 a 5.

Mae cynllun Nofio Ysgol yn cynnig o leiaf 20 gwers nofio am ddim i bob plentyn cymwys yng Nghymru, gan ganolbwyntio ar hyder yn y dŵr, hunan-achub a sgiliau nofio sylfaenol.

From 1 April 2027, businesses in this sector with a rateable value of less than £51,000 will receive a 30% reduction in their rates bill, providing much-needed support at a time when many are facing rising costs and economic pressures. This upcoming reduction in business rates is a positive step that will give businesses on our high street greater confidence to invest in their future, bringing life to the businesses that are the backbone of our town, supporting a practical and positive change to our high streets.
