This Father’s Day, bring Dad to the Windmill for a proper Sunday roast.
Choose from roast rump of beef, roast pork tenderloin, half a roast chicken, or take on the Windmill Ultimate Roast if you dare!!!….all three meats, sausage & apricot stuffing, Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings.

This Friday we had the privilege of hosting a truly special celebration for Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust and the incredible volunteers who make their work possible.
To mark a remarkable triple anniversary — 70 years of the Trust, 50 years of Rutland Water Nature Reserve and 30 years of the return of the Rutland Ospreys — we welcomed 135 volunteers to Wymondham Windmill and served 135 freshly prepared afternoon teas.
It was an event that felt particularly close to our hearts. As a heritage destination surrounded by countryside, we understand the importance of protecting the landscapes, wildlife and habitats that make our corner of Leicestershire so special.
To every volunteer in the room: thank you. Your dedication, passion and countless hours of work continue to make a lasting difference for future generations.
It was an honour to host you.

A heritage line-up beneath a 212 year-old landmark.
Austin Sevens from 1934, 1935, 1936 & 1937, stopping off at Wymondham Windmill as part of their tour. Nearly a century apart in age, yet still turning heads wherever they go.
There’s something rather special about seeing these beautifully preserved cars gathered beneath the sails of the old mill — a reminder that great engineering, craftsmanship and heritage never go out of style.

For over 210 years, the Windmill has had a story — and that story has always been shaped by people.
Jelena is from Latvia, and for the last 3 years she’s been a huge part of life here at the Windmill — cooking, baking, and helping bring so much of our food to life.
Working alongside Head Chef Adam, she’s grown hugely in confidence and skill over the years, and has become a really important part of the kitchen team.
She’s become part of the team, part of this countryside family, and now part of the Windmill’s story too.
Talented, hardworking, and always smiling — we’re very lucky to have her.
The story continues.
