Today, Facebook reminded me of the construction of the Computer/IT Lab at the Grand Roy Government School, and it brought back many fond memories.
Grand Roy Government School is a school that is very dear to my heart. Over the years, we have consistently supported the school through donations, student assistance programmes, and various initiatives aimed at improving the learning environment for our children.
Under the NNP administration, we were able to construct a new Computer/IT Lab and equip it with computers and the necessary resources to help prepare our students for a rapidly changing world. This investment reflected our commitment to education and our belief that every child deserves access to modern learning opportunities.
To add to this, I will also share photos highlighting the work that was done at the Grand Roy Playing Field. The field was expanded, levelled, graded, improved, and outfitted with proper lighting, creating a safe and functional space for sports and recreation. Today, the students enjoy sports right within their own community.
Beyond the school, the facility also provides a valuable space for young people and community members to play football, train, develop their talents, and engage in positive activities.
Thank you, Facebook, for the reminder. Evidence never lies, and the work that was done remains visible for all to see. While some may try to rewrite history, the facts speak for themselves. The development projects completed under my leadership have positively impacted the people of St. John, and they continue to stand as proof of what can be achieved through dedicated service and vision.
The work was done, the results are there, and the evidence remains.
NB: The Computer Lab is the building to the far right in the photo below.

Today, I want to give flowers to a truly special lady while she is here to receive them.
Mrs. Vernice Collins is a woman whose life reflects hard work, humility, and dedication to her community. Many of us remember the days when she and her husband worked tirelessly selling ice cream, always greeting people with a warm smile that could brighten anyoneโs day. Over the years, she has also become known for her excellent local wines, sharing a piece of our culture and tradition with so many.
Mrs. Collins is also known for always carrying herself with grace and elegance. She is consistently well-dressed, often showcasing the latest styles, and her warm, friendly presence makes her a joy to be around. Check out her pearls in the picture below.
Her smile, kindness, and positive spirit have touched the lives of many.
Beyond her work, Mrs. Collins has been a loyal and steadfast supporter, someone who has consistently stood by us through good times and challenging times alike.
Today, I salute Mrs. Vernice Collins and thank her for her friendship, support, and the positive impact she continues to make in our community. May God continue to bless her with good health, happiness, and many more years of success.๐น

They may have counted us out, but they cannot erase the work we've done or the support we continue to receive. The people deserve leadership that delivers, and our time will come again.
