There is something about this season that feels full of energy, growth, and new possibilities — and that is exactly the spirit behind the 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠.

This month, TAMCC and NEWLO teachers are participating in this professional development training hosted by in collaboration with the Grenada National Training Agency (GNTA). The goal is simple but powerful: to support more practical, inclusive, and future-ready learning experiences for students across Grenada. 🌱

The training follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Grenada National Training Agency and the Ministry of Education-OECS SKIP Grenada, reinforcing the importance of partnership in advancing quality education, skills development, and workforce readiness in Grenada. 🤝

Through interactive sessions, teachers are exploring ways to integrate key transversal skills into teaching and learning, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking, and leadership. 💬🤝💡

ᴀɴᴅ ʏᴇꜱ, ꜱᴛᴜᴅᴇɴᴛꜱ, ᴛʜɪꜱ ᴍᴀᴛᴛᴇʀꜱ ᴛᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴛᴏᴏ.

These skills help young people build confidence, embrace teamwork, think through challenges, explore entrepreneurship, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

🤗The teachers' training also opens space for important conversations around inclusive education, gender responsiveness, special education needs, and disaster risk management in education — all part of building stronger, safer, and more responsive learning environments.

includes a 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗖)— a built-in mechanism designed to support a structured response if an 𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 occurs.

The CERC is not automatically activated. It follows formal procedures, required approvals, and a clear implementation framework. This helps ensure that, if an eligible emergency occurs, the response is coordinated, responsible, and aligned with the Project’s approved rules.

At the center of this mechanism is the 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗖 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹, which helps guide how the emergency response component would be coordinated and implemented. It outlines key arrangements related to eligible emergency activities, required procedures, financial management, procurement, environmental and social safeguards, documentation, and the preparation of an Emergency Action Plan.

For a small island state like Grenada, preparedness matters. Strong systems help protect education, skills development, institutional progress, and community resilience.
