პრესის თავისუფლება ასევე მოიცავს გამოხატვის თავისუფლებას, იდეების თავისუფლად გადმოცემასა და გავრცელებას, თავისუფალი კრიტიკისა და საჯარო ხელისუფლებისგან ანგარიშვალდებულების მოთხოვნის შესაძლებლობას. ჩვენი თავისუფალი საზოგადოების ერთ-ერთი ფუნდამენტური მახასიათებელია - საჯაროდ გამოხატულ იდეებს, პოზიციებსა და მოსაზრებებს შორის კონკურენცია, შურისძიების შიშის გარეშე. სწორედ ამას აღვნიშნავთ დღეს, პრესის თავისუფლების მსოფლიო დღესთან დაკავშირებით.

Freedom of the press also encompasses freedom of expression and the ability to freely convey and disseminate ideas, to criticize freely, and to hold public authorities to account. Competition among ideas, positions, and opinions expressed publicly without fear of reprisal is one of the fundamental attributes of our free society. This is also what we commemorate today on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day.

🇨🇿 ჩეხეთი 🇬🇪 საქართველოში ონკოლოგიური პაციენტი ბავშვების მხარდასაჭერად.

გვქონდა შესაძლებლობა მოგვენახულებინა 🏥 იაშვილის სახელობის ბავშვთა ცენტრალური
საავადმყოფო და გავცნობოდით ჩეხეთის მხარდაჭერის შედეგებს, რომლებიც ხორციელდება ჩეხეთის კარიტასის მეშვეობით.

ჩეხეთის დახმარება ხელს უწყობს პედიატრიული და ონკოლოგიური მომსახურების გაძლიერებას თანამედროვე სამედიცინო აღჭურვილობისა და ჩეხური სამედიცინო გამოცდილების გაზიარებით.

განსაკუთრებით მნიშვნელოვანია ცოდნის გაზიარება პრაღის მოტოლის უნივერსიტეტური საავადმყოფოდან, სადაც ქართველმა ექიმებმა სპეციალიზებული ტრენინგები გაიარეს.

🇨🇿 Czechia supporting pediatric and oncological care for children in 🇬🇪 Georgia.

We were pleased to visit 🏥 Iashvili Children’s Central Hospital and see the impact of Czech support delivered through Caritas Czech Republic.

Czech assistance strengthens pediatric and oncological care by combining modern medical equipment with the sharing of Czech medical know‑how, including expertise from Motol University Hospital in Prague, where Georgian doctors have received specialized trainings.

შეგვიძლია თუ არა კვლავ სხვაგვარად თამაში, გარდა მხოლოდ ტელეფონით თამაშისა? 🎭
ეს იყო კითხვა, რომელიც საფუძვლად დაედო ლიდიცეს სახვითი ხელოვნების 53-ე საერთაშორისო საბავშვო გამოფენის(ICEFA Lidice 2025) წლევანდელ თემას „თამაშს“. პასუხები გამოიხატა ნამუშევრებით, რომლებიც სავსეა ფანტაზიით, შემოქმედებითობითა და დღევანდელი თამაშის მნიშვნელობის სრულიად განსხვავებული პერსპექტივით.
22 აპრილს, ჩეხეთის რესპუბლიკის საელჩომ თბილისში, უმასპინძლა ამ პრესტიჟული კონკურსის ახალგაზრდა ქართველ მონაწილეთა დაჯილდოების ცერემონიას, რომელიც 1967 წელს დაარსდა ლიდიცეს ტრაგედიის მსხვერპლ ბავშვთა ხსოვნისადმი.
ქართული სკოლებიდან და სახელოვნებო დაწესებულებებიდან სულ 123 ნამუშევარი იყო წარდგენილი და სიხარულით გიზიარებთ, რომ სულ 10 ჯილდო იქნა მიღებული. რვა მოსწავლე დაჯილდოვდა საპატიო სიგელით, ორი კი მედლით , რაც ისეთი შედეგია, რომელიც მრავალი წლის განმავლობაში არ დაფიქსირებულა.
ჯილდოები საელჩოში, სტუდენტების, მათი ოჯახის წევრებისა და მასწავლებლების თანდასწრებით, მისმა აღმატებულებამ, პეტრ კუბერნატმა გადასცა. ვულოცავთ ყველა დაჯილდოებულ მონაწილეს და მადლობას ვუხდით სკოლებსა და სახელოვნებო დაწესებულებებს მხარდაჭერისთვის.
წლევანდელი წლის კონკურსის თემა იქნება „წიგნი“, და მოუთმენლად ველით იმ ნამუშევრებს, რომლებიც ამ თემით იქნება შთაგონებული.

Can we still play differently than just with a phone? 🎭
This was the question behind this year’s theme Play at the 53rd International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice (ICEFA Lidice 2025). The answers came through artworks full of imagination, creativity, and very different perspectives on what play means today.
On April 22 the Embassy of 🇨🇿 in Tbilisi hosted a ceremony to recognize the young Georgian participants in this prestigious competition, founded in 1967 to commemorate the child victims of the Lidice tragedy.
A total of 123 artworks were submitted from Georgian schools and art institutions, and we are pleased to share that 10 awards were received in total. Eight students were awarded Honourable Mentions and two received medals, which is a result we have not seen for many years.
The awards were presented by H.E. Petr Kubernát at the Embassy in the presence of students, their families, and teachers. We congratulate all awarded participants and thank the schools and art institutions for their support.
This year, the competition explores the theme Book, and we look forward to the artworks it will inspire.

გუშინ 🇨🇿 ჩეხეთის საელჩოს ახლგაზრდა 🇬🇪 ქართველი სტუდენტ–დებატორების ჯგუფი ეწვია თბილისიდან და რუსთავიდან.

მისმა აღმატებულებამ ელჩმა პეტრ კუბერნატმა ახალგაზრდებს გააცნო საელჩოს საქმიანობის სპეციფიკა და ესაუბრა დიპლომატიისა და საერთაშორისო ურთიერთობების პრაქტიკულ მნიშვნელობაზე. კონსულმა, ქალბატონმა ანი შაგინიანოვამ, ისაუბრა ჩეხეთში სწავლის შესაძლებლობების შესახებ - უნივერსიტეტები, სასტიპენდიო პროგრამები და გზები, რომლებიც ხელმისაწვდომია ქართველი სტუდენტებისთვის. როგორც მოსალოდნელი იყო, შეხვედრა მრავალ კითხვასა და ცოცხალ დისკუსიას მოიცავდა. ელჩმა არაოფიციალური დებატებიც კი წამოიწყო ყველაზე ცნობილ შეხურ პროდუქტზე - 🍻.

ჩვენ მოხარულები ვართ, რომ საელჩოში ასეთ მოტივირებულ და ამბიციურ ახალგაზრდებს ვუმასპინძლეთ.

A group of young 🇬🇪 student debaters from Tbilisi and Rustavi arrived at the 🇨🇿 Embassy.
The Ambassador H.E. Petr Kubernát introduced the students to the work of the Embassy and spoke about diplomacy and international relations in practice. The Consul, Ms. Ani Šaginjanová, presented study opportunities in Czechia, including universities, scholarship programmes, and other options available to Georgian students.
As expected from students active in debate, the visit brought many questions and a lively discussion. At one point, the Ambassador also sparked an informal debate about the best known Czech product – 🍻. We were pleased to welcome such an engaged group of young people to the Embassy.

What does it take to study in the heart of Europe?
For a group of students from the Student Parliament of Georgia, this question became the starting point of their visit to 🇨🇿 Embassy.
The Ambassador H.E. Petr Kubernát first offered a behind‑the‑scenes look at how the Embassy works and what diplomacy looks like in practice. Afterwards, the Consul, Ms. Ani Šaginjanová, introduced study opportunities in the Czech Republic, including universities, scholarship programmes, and pathways available to Georgian students.
We are always glad to welcome young people who are curious, ambitious, and open to exploring new opportunities abroad. 🙌🎓
საქართველოს სტუდენტური პარლამენტის წევრების 🇨🇿 საელჩოში ვიზიტის დროს, მთავარი შეკითხვა იყო - რა არის საჭირო შუაგულ ევროპაში სწავლისთვის?

ელჩმა, მისმა აღმატებულებამ პეტრ კუბერნატმა მათ საელჩოს საქმიანობის სპეციფიკა გააცნო და ესაუბრა დიპლომატიის პრაქტიკულ მნიშვნელობაზე. კონსულმა, ქალბატონმა ანი შაგინიანოვამ კი წარადგინა ჩეხეთში სწავლის შესაძლებლობები, უნივერსიტეტები, სასტიპენდიო პროგრამები და გზები, რომლებიც ხელმისაწვდომია ქართველი სტუდენტებისთვის.

ჩვენ ყოველთვის გვიხარია ცნობისმოყვარე და ამბიციური ახალგაზრდების მასპინძლობა, რომლებიც მზად არიან ახალი შესაძლებლობების აღმოსაჩენად საზღვრებს გარეთ. 🙌🎓

🇨🇿 ჩეხეთის რესპუბლიკის ელჩმა, პეტრ კუბერნატმა, 9 აპრილის მემორიალთან პატივი მიაგო დაღუპულ გმირებს, რაც იყო იმ ადამიანთა გამბედაობისა და თავგანწირვისადმი პატივისცემა, რომლებმაც თავისუფლებისა და დამოუკიდებლობისთვის ბრძოლაში სიცოცხლე გასწირეს.

მათი ხსნოვნა 🇬🇪 საქართველოს ისტორიის მნიშვნელოვან ნაწილად დარჩება.

The Ambassador of the 🇨🇿 Czech Republic, Petr Kubernát, paid tribute to the fallen heroes at the April 9 memorial, honoring the courage and self-sacrifice of those who gave their lives in the struggle for freedom and independence.

Their memory will remain an important part of 🇬🇪 Georgia’s history.

I was pleased to welcome at 🇨🇿 Embassy young participants of EuroClub Kvareli program. We discussed CZ/GE bilateral relations and euroatlantic integration. I have enjoyed interesting discussion. A lot of curious questions and comments ! I like that very much. Young people are really future of Georgia and this is not a cliché!
