Today, we celebrate Europe Day — a day that symbolizes peace, unity, solidarity, and the strength of European cooperation 🇪🇺.
The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Tbilisi 🇸🇰 was honoured to once again join the Europe Day celebrations together with our European partners, Georgian friends🇬🇪, and thousands of visitors who came to celebrate the values that connect us across borders 🤝!
At the Slovak stand, visitors had the opportunity to discover a small taste of Slovakia through traditional Slovak specialties, learn more about our country, and participate in a Slovak-themed quiz that brought moments of fun, curiosity, and friendly competition.
We were delighted to meet so many guests, engage in meaningful conversations, share experiences, and celebrate together the spirit of friendship, diversity, and European unity 🇪🇺.
Thank you to everyone who visited the Slovak stand and helped create another wonderful Europe Day celebration in Tbilisi. 🇸🇰🇬🇪

The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Tbilisi 🇸🇰commemorates this important day together with Georgia and value the importance of preserving peace, solidarity, and this historical memory for future generations.

THE FIRST SLOVAK 🇸🇰–GEORGIAN 🇬🇪 TOURISM FORUM IN TBILISI
On Tuesday, April 2️⃣1️⃣, 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣, the first-ever Slovak–Georgian Tourism Forum took place in Tbilisi. The event was organized by the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Tbilisi, Slovakia Travel, and the ტურიზმის ეროვნული ადმინისტრაცია • Georgian National Tourism Administration.
📍The main objective of the forum was to present Slovakia as an attractive destination for Georgian visitors. An important role in this regard is played by the new direct flight ✈️ connection between Bratislava and Kutaisi, which significantly facilitates travel between our countries and opens up new opportunities for tourism exchange.
📍The forum brought together tourism stakeholders from both countries and created a platform for practical B2B discussions. Participants explored concrete opportunities for cooperation, established new contacts, and exchanged experience in the field of tourism.
🗣️“Relations between Slovaks and Georgians have traditionally been very good, and thanks to the new direct flight connection, our countries are, in a sense, closer again. We are pleased by the growing number of Slovak tourists visiting Georgia, but at the same time, we aim to introduce Slovakia more to Georgian travellers. Slovakia is a beautiful country offering a wide range of experiences – from cities and spa resorts, through castles and UNESCO heritage sites, to unique nature. I believe that the forum will contribute to an increase in the number of visitors from Georgia, strengthen cooperation, and foster new partnerships between Slovakia and Georgia in the field of tourism, as well as support the overall development of bilateral relations,” said the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Georgia, Matúš Bušovský.
🤝The programme also included working meetings in Kutaisi with the Imereti Destination Management Organisation, which confirmed the strong potential for developing regional cooperation with this western Georgian region.
