🥛 Why does some of our Guernsey milk look creamier right now?

You may have noticed that some cartons of Guernsey milk are looking a little creamier than usual at the moment.

This is due to a temporary fault in our processing equipment which has led to increased fat separation in a small number of cartons (full cream, low-fat and lactose-free). This can make naturally occurring cream deposits more visible.

The important thing to know:
✅All affected milk meets Guernsey and EU food safety standards
✅Every batch continues to pass strict quality and safety checks
✅Skimmed milk is not affected

If you spot a visible cream layer, simply give the carton a gentle shake to mix it back in (though you may still see some small creamy blobs).

Our Engineering and Quality Control teams are working hard to resolve the issue and return milk to its usual appearance as quickly as possible.

Guernsey milk remains naturally rich in protein, calcium and vitamins like B12 — and its creamy character is a reflection of its high-quality composition.

is an international day established by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations to recognise the importance of milk as a vital and nutritious global food resource.

This day always reminds us at Guernsey Dairy of just how fortunate we are to have such an amazing milk of our own, right on our doorstep.

11 Guernsey Farming families safeguard the welfare of 1250 Guernsey cows, who produce 7.6 million litres of milk on RSPCA Assured farms every year. All our milk is 100% natural and contains essential vitamins and minerals.

There are over 14,000 Guernsey cows all 100% pure breed in all four corners of the globe and we salute you all.

We were delighted to support Schools Tri Guernsey 2026 by providing competitors with a refreshing, nutritious boost of Guernsey milk after their race.

More than 200 children from Years 5 to 8 took part in the event, which offered a fun and inclusive opportunity to experience the excitement of triathlon.

Each competitor completed a 50m swim, two laps on bikes, and a final lap around the St Sampson’s High playing field.

Guernsey milk contains carbohydrates in levels similar to many sports drinks and is naturally rich in electrolytes lost through exercise. These help support effective rehydration and recovery. It also tastes great and travels very few food miles.

Guernsey’s dairy industry is unfiltered - just like our milk.

From happy, free to loaf cows on RSPCA Assured farms to minimal processing and zero homogenisation, Guernsey Dairy milk is goodness in its most natural form.

Produced locally, travelling just miles from farm to fridge (often within 48 hours), our milk has a lower carbon footprint and delivers good source of natural protein, carbohydrates, water, B vitamins (B2 and B12) and energy-supporting nutrients. Helping to restore glycogen and supporting muscle repair.

Less filtered, more goodness. This is Guernsey milk, unfiltered. 🥛
