Today's project is "Sierra Leone Adminstrative Complex Project"
At our Accra office, we are conducting business not only in Ghana but also in several West African countries such as Côte d'Ivoire and Cameroon.
Many projects are also being carried out in Sierra Leone.
Due to the long civil war until 2002, many social infrastructures were destroyed.
So, recently, EDCF carried out a Adminstrative Complex construction project in freetown to inprove the resident's quality of life.

저희 아크라사무소에서는 가나뿐만 아니라 코트디부아르, 카메룬 등 서아프리카 여러나라에서도 사업을 진행하고 있습니다.
시에라리온에서도 많은 사업들을 진행하고 있는데요, 최근에 오랜 내전으로 파괴된 인프라를 재건하기 위한 사업들의 일종으로 수도 프리타운 지역에 복합행정센터를 건설 사업을 진행했습니다.

Today's project is "DR Congo Lemba-Imbu Water Supply System Development Project"
At our Accra office, we are conducting business not only in Ghana but also in several West African countries such as Côte d'Ivoire and Cameroon.
Many projects are also being carried out in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Recently, EDCF carried out a water purification plant construction project to solve the drinking water problem in the capital Kinshasa region.

Le projet d'aujourd'hui est le "Projet de développement du système d'approvisionnement en eau de Lemba-Imbu en RD Congo".
Dans notre bureau d'Accra, nous exerçons nos activités non seulement au Ghana mais également dans plusieurs pays d'Afrique de l'Ouest tels que la Côte d'Ivoire et le Cameroun.
De nombreux projets sont également menés en République Démocratique du Congo. Récemment, l'EDCF a réalisé un projet de construction d'une station d'épuration des eaux pour résoudre le problème de l'eau potable dans la région de la capitale Kinshasa.

Today's project is the Angola Nutrition Improvement Project, which was completed in 2015.
We, Accra Representative Office, is conducting the projects not only in Ghana, but also in several West African countries such as Ivory Coast, Cameroun and etc.
We are also carrying out many projects in Angola, which was in a situation where food was in short supply due to a long civil war at the time.
To help with this, EDCF carried out a project.

Today's project is "Petroleum Products Storage Depots project"
This project is the Korea's first Loan agreements with Ghana.
In 1990, petroleum storages were concentrated only in the south so in the northern region, many problems occurred due to the lack of a stable supply of oil.

Hello this is Korea Eximbank Accra Representative Office

We would like to introduce past Economic Development cooperation Fund(EDCF) projects in Ghana.

EDCF is a concessional aid fund supported by the Korean Government. Various projects are being carried out around the world to support the economic development of developing countries and promote economic exchange between these countries and the Republic of Korea.

In the meantime, I will tell you what projects have been done in Ghana and the positive results they have brought.

Today's project is water supply project in Wa.

We will continue to inform you about other businesses in the future.

EDCF(대외협력기금)는 대한민국 정부에서 지원하는 유상원조기금으로 지금까지 전세계 각지에서 개발도상국의 경제발전을 지원하고 대한민국과의 경제교류를 증진하기 위해 다양한 사업들을 진행하고 있는데요,

그동안 가나에서는 무슨 사업들이 있었고, 어떤 긍정적인 결과를 가져왔는지 알려드리도록 하겠습니다.

오늘 알려드릴 사업은 가나 Wa 지역에 있는 상수도 건설 사업입니다.

[Visiting KOTRA Accra]

On 23rd in August, 2023, the EDCF Accra office visited KOTRA(Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) in Accra. We discussed about the way of industry-academia cooperation and research methods for participating companies in relation to UESD(University of Environment and Sustainable Development) construction project. The project consultant, Professor of Yonsei Univ. Jangsaeng Kim attended.

EDCF 아크라사무소는 8월 23일, KOTRA(대한무역투자진흥공사) 아크라 무역관을 방문했습니다. 지속가능개발대학(UESD) 건립사업 관련 산학협력 방안, 참여희망 업체 조사방안 등에 대해 컨설턴트 연세대학교 김장생교수님과 함께 논의하였습니다.

[Field trip to SAMSUNG C&T Corporation Accra Office]

On 3rd in August, 2023, interns of the EDCF Accra office visited the SAMSUNG C&T Corporation Accra Office. We learnt about the SAMSUNG C&T’s role in Accra, its business about EDCF and Chemical projects. During the Q&A session we asked various questions about SAMSUNG C&T and seeked advice on our career paths.

8월 3일(목), EDCF 아크라사무소 인턴들은 삼성물산 아크라사무소를 방문했습니다. 삼성물산 및 아크라사무소의 역할, 진행중인 EDCF 사업과 화학 프로젝트 비즈니스에 대한 설명을 들었습니다. Q&A 세션을 통해 사업에 대한 질문부터 인턴들의 취업 관련 문의까지 다양한 조언을 얻을 수 있는 시간이었습니다.

[Field trip to HD Hyundai Infracore West Africa]

On 18th, August, 2023, interns of the EDCF Accra office visited the West African branch of HD Hyundai Infracore located in Accra. We learnt about the HD Hyundai Infracore's role in West Africa, its background, its connection to EDCF funded-projects and the prospects of the future in West Africa.

8월 18일(금), EDCF 아크라사무소 인턴들은 아크라에 위치한 HD현대인프라코어 서아프리카 지사를 방문했습니다. HD현대인프라코어의 서아프리카에서의 역할과 지사를 설립한 배경, EDCF 사업과의 연관성, 향후 서아프리카 지역 국제 정세의 전망에 대한 설명을 들었습니다.

[Hosting of University of Environment and Sustainable Development Project Meeting]

The EDCF Accra Office hosted a meeting to share the progress of the UESD(University of Environment and Sustainable Development) Project on Monday, August 14, 2023.

The project was launched as part of the Ghanaian government's "Long-term National Planning Vision 2018-2057" project to train more technical and agricultural professionals. Buildings such as the College of Engineering, College of Agriculture, Administration Block and Library, Auditorium, and Restaurant are being prepared for resumption of construction.

The online/offline meeting was attended by the EDCF Accra Office, two Ghanaian ministries (Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Education), the contractor: Kolon Global and DB, the consultant: Yonsei University and Heerim.

[가나 지속가능개발대학교 건립사업 관련 회의 주관]

EDCF 아크라 사무소는 8월 14일(월) 지속가능개발대학교 건립사업의 진행 상황에 대해 공유하는 회의를 주관했습니다.

지속가능개발대학 건립사업은 더 많은 기술 및 농업 전문가들을 키우기 위한 가나 정부의 "2018-2057년 장기 국가 계획 비전" 프로젝트의 일부로 시작되었습니다. 공과대학, 농업대학, 본부 및 도서관, 강당, 식당 등의 건물들이 공사 재개를 위한 준비 중입니다.

온/오프라인으로 진행된 이번 회의에는 EDCF 아크라사무소, 가나 2개 부처(재무부, 교육부), 시공사 코오롱글로벌 및 DB와 컨설턴트 연세대학교 및 희림종합건축의 관계자분들이 참석하였습니다.

[HOLIDAY NOTICE]
The Korea Eximbank Accra Representative Office will be closed tomorrow August 4th, 2023, in observance of Ghana’s Founders’ Day.
Ghana’s Founders’ Day is to commemorate the contributions of the "Big Six" who led the struggle for Ghana's independence. EDCF Korea Eximbank Accra will resume on Monday, August 7th, 2023.

8월 4일 금요일은 가나 공휴일[국부(國父)의 날(Founders’ Day)]로, 아크라사무소가 휴일임을 알려드립니다.
국부의 날은 가나의 독립을 위한 투쟁을 이끈 "Big Six"의 공헌을 기념하기 위한 국가 공휴일입니다.

[Field Trip to University of Environment and Sustainable Development]

On 20th June 2023, Korea Eximbank-EDCF Accra Representative Office visited the construction site of "University of Environment and Sustainable Development, (UESD)" in Bunso. UESD is a part of Ghana’s long-term development plan under the “Vision for Long-term National Plan for 2018-2057” to raise more Technological and Agriculture professionals.

School of Engineering, School of Agriculture, Administration Block, Library, Auditorium and Cafeteria, are now set to resume construction.
