The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal (AVM) FAK Bekoe paid a brief visit to the COAS, Maj Gen T Oppong-Peprah this morning at the latter's office. The CAS informed the COAS his visit was meant to introduce himself and to thank the COAS for the operational and training support to the Ghana Air Force. AVM Bekoe added that he desires to see stronger relations and collaboration between personnel of the Air Force and the Ghana Army at all levels. He assured the COAS of the willing and ready support of the Air Force to Army for the collective good of all the Services and the security of Ghana. He concluded by hinting at some operational, training and welfare concerns of his Service that he would need the experience and support of the COAS to address.

Maj Gen T Oppong-Peprah responded by once again congratulating the CAS on his well-deserved promotion on behalf of the Officers, Soldiers and Civilian Staff of the Ghana Army. He stated that the Army had good operational and training support during the leadership of the immediate past CAS, AVM F Hanson. The COAS expressed optimism that the relationship between the two Services would be further enhanced to enable ease of accomplishing the tasks of the Ghana Armed Forces. Present at the meeting was the outgoing Chief Staff Officer Army HQ, Brig Gen C Agyemang-Prempeh.
