The Embassy of the Republic of Liberia through her HE Musu Jatu Ruhle joins the rest of the African continent in commemorating Africa Union Day, a celebration of African unity, resilience, and collective progress. 🌍
As we observe this important day, Liberia proudly reflects on its historic contribution to the vision of Pan-Africanism and African solidarity. Sanniquellie, Nimba County, holds a special place in African history as the venue of the historic Sanniquellie Conference, which laid the foundation for the formation of the Organization of African Unity (OAU), now the African Union.
The conference brought together visionary African leaders committed to advancing unity, cooperation, and the liberation of the African continent, reinforcing Liberia’s enduring role in promoting peace and regional integration in Africa.
Today, as we celebrate Africa Union Day, we reaffirm our commitment to the ideals of unity, diplomacy, development, and a prosperous Africa for all.
Happy Africa Union Day!
“One Africa, One Voice, One Future.”
