Hon. Isaac Adongo writes,
"We went to Parliament early enough with the aim of securing a speaker and you went to Parliament at 4am just to sit on the right hand side of the Speaker? Majority in the 8th Parliament is determined by the numbers and not who came at 4am to sit where.
We have better things to prepare for at 4am".
Bobi Wine writes on Twitter
Hello Uganda! Despite the wide spread fraud and violence experienced across the country earlier today, the picture still looks good. Thank you Uganda for turning up and voting in record numbers. The challenge now is for Mr. Byabakama and the EC to declare the will of the Pple.

“I said the NPP and the Fomena MP together make up the majority group. I have not said the NPP has the majority in parliament. Time will tell. Let’s give ourselves a few more months and we will know who forms the majority and minority in this house”- Speaker Bagbin. 15th January, 2021.

Congrats to you Mr. President-Elect Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo.
The message is clear —- we want good governance that allows us to compete with the Asian tigers. We are fed up with corruption, waste, nepotism, cronyism, square pegs in round hole, etc. We want to invest in infrastructure and youth development not in consultants, luxury vehicles and ex gratia.
It is good for candidates to sign a peace pact. But that is insufficient.
Candidates must also sign a good governance pact to take this message into account!!!!
