WORKS SUB-COMMITTEE HOLDS MEETING

The Works Sub-Committee of the Ga North Municipal Assembly held its meeting on 22nd September 2026 at the Assembly Hall.

During the meeting, Hon. Raymond Tetteh Commey was elected Chairman of the Committee and subsequently presided over proceedings. Members deliberated on key agenda items, including an orientation on the functions of the Sub-Committee, matters arising, and briefings from Heads of Departments.

The meeting forms part of the Assembly's efforts to strengthen effective committee governance and service delivery within the municipality.

Bridging the digital divide through education! 💻📚

GCB Bank PLC, in partnership with the Ga North Municipal Assembly, has commissioned a new Computer Laboratory at Atiwoto M/A Basic School to enhance teaching and learning through technology. The facility is expected to improve pupils' access to ICT education and equip them with essential digital skills for the future.

Addressing participants at the ceremony, Mrs. Esther Jones Safo, Municipal Education Director, emphasized the importance of ICT in today's world, while Hon. Akwetey Agbo, Municipal Chief Executive, highlighted the value of partnerships in driving development across the municipality.

2027 FEE FIXING RESOLUTION STAKEHOLDERS’ ENGAGEMENT HELD AT POKUASE.

The Ga North Municipal Assembly on Thursday, 17th September 2026, held a Stakeholder Engagement on the Fee Fixing Resolution at Church of Pentecost, Pokuase. The engagement provided a platform for Assembly officials and residents to discuss development projects, revenue generation, service delivery, and community concerns, while promoting citizen participation in local governance.

The Assembly also highlighted key achievements, ongoing projects, and plans including the proposed 24-hour market, while assuring residents that their concerns and suggestions would be taken into consideration for the development of the municipality.

MCE Engages Residents of Apedwa House on Development Priorities

The Municipal Chief Executive for Ga North, Hon. Akwetey Agbo, has engaged residents of Apedwa House, Ta**ra Hills–Golden Door, on key development concerns, announcing plans for a CHPS Compound, a public school, and the rehabilitation of the Florencer–Golden Door road.

As part of the interventions, preparations for the construction of the CHPS Compound will begin with site pe***ng on Friday, September 18, 2026, while rehabilitation works on the Florencer–Golden Door road are also scheduled to commence on the same date, with completion targeted within four months.

The engagement provided residents with the opportunity to raise concerns and contribute to discussions on road rehabilitation, project ex*****on, temporary structures, and Business Operating Permit fees. Residents were encouraged to take ownership of development projects and support efforts aimed at improving access to essential social amenities within the community.

2027 FEE FIXING RESOLUTION STAKEHOLDERS’ ENGAGEMENT

The Ga North Municipal Assembly held a successful Stakeholders’ Engagement on the Draft 2027 Fee Fixing Resolution at Seven Days, Ofankor. The MCE, Hon. Akwetey Agbo, was represented by the Presiding Member, Hon. Ellis Addo. Participants received presentations on Public Financial Management, the Draft 2027 Fee Fixing Resolution, the Assembly’s budget, development programmes and projects, development permits, and social intervention programmes, followed by an interactive open forum.
