We came together to celebrate the dedication and tireless service of our midwives who continue to protect and nurture the lives of mothers and newborns across the country.
I expressed my deep appreciation for their work and conveyed the firm commitment of H.E. John Dramani Mahama to improving their working conditions and completing abandoned health facilities in the Ashanti Region to better support their service delivery.
I also joined the important national conversation on the rising issue of brain drain within the health sector, and I called for an urgent, inclusive dialogue to address it holistically.
Let us continue to honour and empower our midwives—they remain central to the health and future of our nation.

The current President of Ghana will do better. President John Mahama is poised to outperform former President Nana Akuffo Addo in Ghana due to his proven track record of effectively leading the country.
Mahama, who previously served as President from 2012 to 2017, successfully implemented numerous infrastructure projects, economic reforms, and social programs during his tenure. His strong leadership skills, inclusive policies, and commitment to progress have earned him widespread support among Ghanaians.
In contrast, Akuffo Addo's tenure has been marred by corruption scandals, economic instability, and inability to deliver on key campaign promises. With a clear vision for the future and a wealth of experience in governance, Mahama is well-positioned to address the challenges facing Ghana and lead the country towards a brighter future.
