The Commanding Officer, Officers and Soldiers of 1 Battalion Infantry (1Bn) have received glowing commendation from the Chief of the Army Staff, Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah for the quality of leadership and professionalism that has seen impressive development at the Unit. To this end, the COAS gave the assurance to sponsor the construction of Young Officers, and Young Soldiers accommodation, provide 4 new computers for the unit ICT Lab, continue to support vehicle repairs and see to the reconstruction of the Unit’s Parade Square.

This Morning, Office Bureau Limited donated office furniture and work stations to the Army Headquarters as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility to help in their duties of ensuring peace and security in Ghana. The Chief Staff Officer at the Army Headquarters, Brigadier General Michael Amoah Ayisi received the items on behalf of the Army Commander and expressed his appreciation for the kind gesture.

The 5th Battalion llion Infantry is set to receive infrastructure support from higher headquarters with the construction of 100 unit accommodation to augment the unit’s accommodation requirements. The Chief Of Army Staff, Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah emphasized the need to provide comfortable housing for troops as the Army continues to defend the territorial integrity of the country.

The Chief Of Army Staff, Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah has assured officers and soldiers of 153 Armoured Regiment of efforts by High Command at addressing troops promotion issues in order to maintain high morale in the Army. He said this during his maiden visit to the unit where he received some momentos as the most Senior Officer of the corps.

Major renovation works to modernize training at the Army Recruits Training School Ongoing to pave way for 2020/2021 intake.
