Family Of Late Brigadier General Agbemasu (Rtd) Calls On CDS
The family of Late Brigadier General Random Kwame Agbemasu (Rtd) has on Thursday 3 December, 2020 paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Obed Boama Akwa at the General Headquarters to officially inform High Command of his demise and funeral arrangements.

The CDS welcomed the family and recounted his working experience with the late General as a young officer at the First Infantry Battalion, Michel Camp. He detailed the great contributions of the late General towards the improvement of the Ghana Armed Forces Farms in those days.

He assured the family of a befitting burial from the Military High Command. The family symbolically presented 2 bottles of Schnapps as tradition demands, to the CDS to officially inform him of his demise.

Late Brig Gen Agbemasu served as the Commandant, Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) from 19 January, 1995 to 22 August, 1999. He also served as Ghana’s Defence Attaché (DA) to Abuja, Nigeria. The Late General died on Tuesday 17 November, 2020 at the 37 Military Hospital after a short illness.

The funeral arrangements for the Late General will be communicated.
