UNIT SECURITY OFFICERS SEMINAR OPENS

The Deputy Chief Staff Officer (Intelligence) at the Ghana Army Headquarters, Brig Gen Fuseini Salifu has officially opened the 2024 Security Officers Seminar at the 5 Infantry Battalion (5BN) Lecture Hall on Wednesday 20 March 2024.

The 3-day Seminar which spans from Wednesday 20 to Friday 22 March 2024, is aimed at equipping participants with the requisite knowledge to identify potential security threats in order to support unit commanders to take mitigation measures.

Thematic areas to be considered include the creation of security awareness among participants, enhancing participants abilities to identify potential security threats in the Barracks, updating participants on the changing internal and external threats profile of Ghana and educating participants on security dynamics within the sub-region.

6 GARRISON OFFERS SUPPORT TO CHEF FAILA

Ghanaian Chef, Abdul-Razak Failatu, wife of Captain Reginald Adjei of the 6 Infantry Battalion has attempted to break the World Guinness Record for a Cooking Marathon in Tamale.

In line with that, the 6 Garrison Commander, Brigadier General Matthew Essien, Commander Air Force Base Tamale, Air Commodore Joshua Mensah-Larkai and some staff officers at Northern Command were at the venue at Modern City Hotel in Tamale to offer their moral support.
Medical personnel from the 6 Medical Reception Station were on standby to offer her the needed medical attention. Additionally, troops from the 6 Infantry Battalion, Air Force Base and the 69 Airborne Force were at the venue in their numbers to offer their support.

Chef Faila on Wednesday 10 January 2024 ended her quest to break the record after 227 hours of cooking..
