The Ghana Immigration Service commemorated International Women’s Day with an impactful workshop themed *Accelerate Action; For All Women and Girls’ Rights, Equality, and Empowerment*

This event, organized by the Gender Mainstreaming Section in partnership with the Immigration Ladies Association (IMMILAC), aimed to address critical issues surrounding women's rights and empowerment.

The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) joined a diverse cross-section of Ghanaians to celebrate the 68th Independence Anniversary at the Jubilee House in Accra, themed "Reflect, Review, and Reset."

The vibrant event featured captivating poetry recitals, lively dance and musical performances by enthusiastic schoolchildren, and a ceremonial parade by the Ghana Armed Forces.

The event, part of Ghana's Independence Day celebrations themed “Reflect, Review, Reset,” was attended by CGI Kwame Asuah Takyi his deputies and other Officers.

CGI Kwame Asuah Takyi (Esq.) attended the maiden State of the Nation Address by H. E. the President John Dramani Mahama at Parliament, House Accra, alongside some management members of GIS

The President outlined the country's progress, challenges, and future plans to reset the country on the path of economic prosperity.

HON. MUNTAKA MOHAMMED-MUBARAK, INTERIOR MINISTER PAYS MAIDEN WORKING VISIT TO THE NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS OF GHANA IMMIGRATION SERVICE.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM Ghana) has donated ICT equipment, office furniture, and stationary, among others to Migration Information Centres of the Ghana Immigration Service in furtherance of empowering migrants with accurate information.

CGI Kwame Asuah Takyi (Esq.) received the donation at the National Headquarters and expressed gratitude to the IOM Chief of Mission, Mad. Fatou Diallo Ndiaye who made the presentation.

The CGI Kwame Asuah Takyi (Esq.), along with management members and officers from the National Headquarters and the Greater Accra Regional Command, attended the burial service of Assistant Inspector Salomey Hoggar in Accra.

The solemn gathering provided an opportunity for the officers to mourn with the family and pay their last respect to their fallen colleague.

A meeting between the Deputy Comptroller-General of Immigration in charge of Operations and Command Posts Laud O. Affrifah, and a delegation from EU led by Colonel Philippe Chevet, have outlined strategic plans to strengthen collaborative efforts between EU and GIS to enhance Immigration systems and security at the borders

The Comptroller-General of Immigration, Kwame Asuah Takyi (Esq.), joined other security agency heads and other government officials to pay their respects at the Aduwa prayers for the late mother of Hon. Mubarak Mohammed Muntaka, the new Minister for the Interior, in Greater Kumasi.

The CGI Kwame Asuah Takyi, (Esq.) visited the newly acquired 26 3/2 bedroom apartments at the JAK Estate in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.

These apartments were purchased by the Service from the State Housing Company to ease the accommodation needs of officers within the Greater Kumasi Regional Command.

CGI Kwame Asuah Takyi, (Esq.) , along with management members and some officers of GIS attended the thanksgiving service of Mrs. Jane Aboah, wife of former Director of Immigration COP (Rtd.) W.K. Aboah, at the Police Church in Accra. The ceremony was also attended by notable dignitaries, including Hon. Osafo Marfo, former Finance Minister.

The burial and final funeral rites for Mrs. Jane Adwoa Attaa Aboah, wife of former Director of Immigration, COP (Rtd.) W.K. Aboah, was held at the Ridge Church, Accra.

The ceremony was attended by CGI Kwame Asuah Takyi, (Esq.) his Deputies, Management Members, and officers from the Immigration National Headquarters, joined the family to mourn her passing.
