The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Major General (Maj Gen) Bismarck Kwasi Onwona, has cut sod for the construction of a 1,000-seat Multipurpose Mess at the Army Peace Operations Training School (APOTS) in Bundase, pledging a seed money of one hundred thousand Ghana cedis (GH₵100,000) to aid in its completion.

The sod cutting was held during the visit of the COAS to personnel of UNIFIL GHANBATT 91, on completion of their pre-deployment concentration and training at the Battle Training Camp, Bundase on Thursday, 8 August 2024.
Also, as part of the visit, the COAS commissioned a newly renovated ablution unit, a project executed by GHANBATT 91, and inspected a 100-bed accommodation facility, also renovated by the Army Peace Operations Training School (APOTS) to support trainees at the camp.

GAF TO ESTABLISH KINTAMPO BARRACKS

The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Major General Bismarck Kwasi Onwona, on Friday, 28 June 2024 embarked on an operational visit to Kintampo to assess the infrastructure needs for establishing and operationalizing a military barracks in the area.

The Omanhene of Kintampo, Nana Kwaku Dankwa III, and his sub-chiefs warmly welcomed COAS and his team of technocrats, expressing their elation for the visit.
