GIADEC CEO, Yaw Twumasi Ankrah on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, joined H.E. President John Dramani Mahama to cut the sod for the construction of the Tema Integrated Industrial Park; an initiative described as a key legacy project of the President’s administration aimed at advancing Ghana’s industrialisation agenda.

The industrial park is being developed in partnership with Arise IIP, one of Africa’s leading industrial zone developers, and TDC Ghana Ltd, through a special-purpose vehicle in which GIADEC holds equity on behalf of the Government of Ghana.

Aligned with the government’s 24-hour economy policy, the project is expected to position Tema as a major industrial hub, enhance value addition, and create about 6,000 direct and indirect jobs.

GIADEC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DANIELI & C. OFFICINE MECCANICHE S.P.A a leading Italian engineering and manufacturing firm. The agreement marks a significant milestone in Ghana’s industrial transformation agenda under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama.

The signing ceremony, held at the residence of the Italian Ambassador to Ghana, underscores government’s commitment to establishing an Integrated Industrial Park within the Tema Heavy Industrial Zone.
