The Army Special Operation Brigade (ASOB) has organized a pre-selection and assessment exercise for personnel of the 64 Infantry Regiment at the Asutsuare Training Camp from Sunday 19 to Thursday 24 December 2021.

The exercise was adopted to test the mental and physical endurance of participants in order to select eligible candidate for the Basic Special Force Course schedule to commence this year (2022)

At the end of the selection exercise,58 participants qualified to the next stage of the training.

The Army Training Command (ATRAC) has organized a closing ceremony for the maiden Battalion Commanders Course 1-21 on 23 December 2021 at Buchanan Hall,Tashie.

The 8-weeks course which started on Friday 29 October 2021 saw 24 Senior Officers from the service participating;22 drawn from the Ghana Army and 2 from the Ghana Navy was aimed at equipping participants with leadership and administration skills to function effectively at their various units.

They were taken through models such as Command and Leadership,Counter Insurgency Operations, Counter Terrorism, Intelligence and Security, Peace Support Operations, Military Law, and Social Issues with help of resource person drawn from civil organization and the Ghana Armed Forces.

Maj Gen T oppong - Peprah said the course was organized to deepen Senior Officers knowledge to Command ,train , and administer a battle group in insurgency operations and peace support operations.
The importance of the course he said cannot be underestimated because it has been adopted as one of the discipline course in the GAF irrespective of one's field of specialty.

The Air Force Recruit Training School (AFRTS) in Takoradi has held an Inter-company Steeplechase competition (BITC) 2-21.
The objective of the Steeplechase exercise which was on Thursday 23 December,2021 was to text the endurance of the recruit on different terrans, their cooperation as a unit and there ability to traverse obstacles after a long tiring run.
In his remark,the Guest of Honour for the event, Officer Commanding Flying Wing,Air Force Base -Takoradi, Group Captain KM Atiemo noted that,the recruit training package was designed to produce among others,a well-trained, highly motivated, discipline, physically and mentally tough soldier capable of performing any task assigned
He congratulated the winning company for their display of team work, cooperation and determination and commended the Training Officer and his able instructors for a good orgof the event.

The Nursing Officer in Charge (NOIC) of the Dailysis Unit of the 37 Military Hospital,LtvCol Patience Akuvi Dzigbordzi Awumee,has been awarded with a Plague for her hard work and immense contribution to the healthcare professional during the 2nd Annual Association (GRNMA) National Awarded Night held at the Kempinski Hotel.
She received the Special Category Awards of the Col Vida Otoo Nightingale's Awards together with other Nurse from different health facilities across the country on Friday December 17,2021 in Accra
