On Tuesday, 19 May 2026, the Chargé d’Affaires, Mr. Aviel Avraham, hosted the Acting Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Ghana, H.E. Ambassador Asaye Alemayehu, at the Embassy of Israel in Accra.
The meeting was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere and reflected the longstanding and amicable relations existing between the two missions.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and reaffirmed the importance of continued dialogue, cooperation, and mutual understanding.
Mr. Avraham conveyed his appreciation for the close and constructive relations maintained between the two Embassies and extended his best wishes to Ambassador Alemayehu in his future endeavors.
Ambassador Alemayehu, in turn, expressed his appreciation for the spirit of cooperation and the cordial relations that characterized the engagement between the two missions during his tenure in Accra.
The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their shared commitment to further strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two missions.

On Tuesday, 19 May 2026, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy, Mr. Aviel Avraham, paid a courtesy call on the Assistant Director-General and Regional Representative for Africa of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Dr. Abebe Haile-Gabriel, together with his Deputy, Mr. Ayman Omer.
The meeting provided an opportunity for productive discussions on areas of mutual cooperation and future prospects between the Embassy and the FAO, particularly in advancing shared interests in agriculture, food security, and sustainable development across the region.
We value the continued engagement with the FAO and look forward to strengthening this important partnership.
