General information

Objectives
The objects for which the Association, which is a non-profit making organization, is formed are:

To promote the interests of its members and bodies engaged as marketers of petroleum products in the Republic of Ghana.
To provided for the petroleum industry the means of advising, informing, influencing and executing policy with regard to economic, fiscal, legal, industrial, technical and other matters relating to the industry.
To encourage and advise members on the ways and means of pursuing healthy business relationships and practices in the industry and in this regard, prescribe desirable code of conduct and industry practices.
To enhance the status and improvement of its members and to assist members acquire the professional knowledge, value and understanding they require for the business.
To encourage the efficiency of the petroleum industry by providing advice, information and other services.
To create a means of co-operation with Government in all matters relating to petroleum and energy in Ghana.
To liaise and cooperate and cooperate with government, ministries and departments on all matters relating to the petroleum industry.
To lend its support or to oppose and legislative action which may adversely affect the petroleum industry.
To employ or retain skilled professional or technical advisers in connection with the objectives of the Association or any of them and to pay such advisers fees as may be considered appropriate.
To set up trusts for any purpose or objectives of the Association and to accept any donation or request for any of the purposes or objectives thereof.
To open and operate banking accounts and to draw, make and accept cheques.
To pay out the funds of the Association, all expenses which the association may lawfully pay for in connection with the formation, registration and establishment of the Association.
To do all such other things as are or may be deemed incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects and the exercise of any of the powers of the Association.
The objects of the association shall not extend to any matters relating to the terms and conditions of sale of products of the industry.
