The Armed Forces Music School (AFMS) has hosted teachers and pupils from the East Airport International School as part of their educational tour to the facility on Thursday, 23 October 2025 where they had the opportunity to interact with personnel.

Addressing the students, the Second-in-Command Armed Forces Central Band (AFCB) and AFMS, Lieutenant Commander (Lt Cdr) Stanley Theophilus Brocke commended management of East Airport International School for exposing students to the art of music in a structured and disciplined environment.

He encouraged the pupil to take their music lessons seriously, noting that the AFMS offers professional training opportunities for those who may pursue music as a career.
They were introduced to various musical instruments and witnessed military music demonstrations

A 17-member Military and Police Advisors’ Community (MPAC) delegation led by Major General Jürgen Martin Ortner of Austria has visited the Headquarters of the Ghana Battalion (GHANBATT) serving the United Nations Interim Force (UNIFIL) and its Bravo Company on 21 October 2025.

The visit which formed part of an official tour of UNIFIL and United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) saw the GHANBATT Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Evans Yaw Mensah Komedjah, delivering detailed operational brief on contributions, collaboration and community engagement efforts.

The visit included a terrain-based situational overview highlighting the position’s strategic importance. MPAC members gained insights into GHANBATT’s operational readiness, challenges in maintaining stability, and the critical role of international cooperation in promoting regional peace.

The Army Special Operations Brigade (ASOB) has marked the successful completion of the Basic Commando Course 1-25 at Barwah Barracks, Tamale on 17 October 2025.
The training developed the physical endurance, adaptability, leadership, and resilience in participants, preparing them to operate effectively in diverse and challenging environments. It also instilled a strong sense of duty, discipline, and professionalism among participants.
Guest of Honour Brigadier General Worlanyo Agbebo commended ASOB Commander Brigadier General Richard Mensah, instructors, and trainees for their efforts. He urged the graduates to maintain loyalty, excellence, and commitment as they assume vital roles in Ghana’s elite special operations forces.
