PUBLIC POLICY REVIEW SERIES ON THE SINGLE SPINE PAY POLICY

The Africa Public Policy Institute (APPI) is a non-profit, public policy organization located in Accra, Ghana. It is an independent, non-partisan and non-profit policy research think-tank. We are committed to supporting sustained improvement in public affairs through scientific research and knowledge exchange. Starting from Ghana we seek to impact on Africa generally, with qualitative research, forum for debate and global networking which impact on public policy formulation and implementation, qualitative legislation and management of public affairs. In so doing, the Institute seeks to inform and improve public policy formulation in Ghana and across Africa as well as provide vital input into public decision making in order to promote socio-economic development and improve governance in Africa. The ultimate aim is to provide citizens with the knowledge to hold their governments accountable for their actions. This will strengthen the capacity of citizens to pursue public policy issues effectively and enrich dialogue among citizens, the media and policy makers so as to improve the way governments serve the people. The Institute believes in the importance of the citizens' involvement in public life and is committed to sustained improvement in public services.
