After being part of the initiative of 16 African countries donating blood on a single day, NBS Ghana was able to collect 1173 units of blood nationwide and still counting. Thank you, our precious blood donors and contributors I.e. Zipline, Twellium Ghana, Care connect, etc. Your invaluable service will go a long way to save numerous lives relying on blood as therapy

The National Blood Service (NBS) Ghana is joining forces with 15 other African nations blood services across the continent for a groundbreaking event, Red Saturday, under the theme 'One Day, One Continent, One Purpose' happening today, 29th November, 2025.

Red Saturday is more than a blood drive - it represents African unity and solidarity, a collective effort to address blood shortages across the continent, and a celebration of the lifesaving power of voluntary blood donation.
