ture by demonstrating as well as defending our performance as a party in government and testing our ability to reorganize ourselves to propagate the massive infrastructural achievements of the Mahama - led administration. This election is therefore epochal in the history of the nation, as the situation arising is that this is the fist time a political party is to rule continuously three constitutional times, with the leading opposition party losing general elections three times on the trot. Statistics of the 2008 and the 2012 election results indicate that we had 47.81% and 50.7% as against our opponent who had 49.15% and 47.74% respectively. Worse, against this background, prior to the November election, feasibility studies by a competent team of researchers across the 275 constituencies revealed the in ill health in the relationship among the youth wing of the NDC across the country against their regional and constituency executives, which has become one of the major problems affecting the party’s popularity. At this time, the executives of the party at the regional and constituency levels have lost control and finding it difficult to even get close to the youth. Organizing them to partake in party activities has thereby become very difficult. Yet, it is in the midst of this situation that it has became critically important that strategies be devised and human resource well mobilized, especially the youth, to execute the campaign and ensure victory for the President and the party. This necessitated the birth of the Action Youth For Mahama (AYM) after series of consultations with well meaning Ghanaians both home and the Diaspora. The tasks, being enormous and challenging, demand the amalgamation of every structure in an all–hands–on–deck fashion, to execute the 2016 campaign. Among our immediate challenges is the need to mediate in the face-off between the regional cm constituency executives vis-a vis the grassroots supporters, mobilize floating voters as well as organize the party youth to aid in the necessary door-to-door grassroots campaign and early voting.
2. VISION:
Our vision is to mobilize floating voters, loyal and committed members of the party, especially the youth, for the continuous victory of President Mahama and the party as well as to instill in them the values and ideals of the party.
3. MISSION:
Our main goal as a group is to mobilize the people within the voter population, especially, the youth and floating voters at the grassroots level to ensure the victory of President Dramani Mahama in the elections.
4. OBJECTIVES:
1. To campaign for the President and the party at the grassroots level.
2. To mobilize the youth to canvass for votes for the President and the party.
3. To mobilize polling agents for the Election from the Universities and other tertiary institutions, in collaboration with TEIN.
4. To assist the National Campaign Team to organize rallies and other important events in the campaign
5. To embark on a membership drive for the growth of the party by revealing to the populace, the spectacular features of His Excellency’s presidency and his records as President in his service to the nation.
6. To educate our members on the need for unity, peaceful co-existence and dynamic activism among the rank and file of the party
7. To promote the values and ideals of the party.
5. MEMBERSHIP:
AYM drew its membership from communities across the country and the Diaspora. It was made up of very committed and loyal members of NDC and sympathizers who believe in the ideals of President John Dramani Mahama, the Party and Ghana’s Development in general and who perceive the victory of the NDC in the elections as their moral obligation to ensure. We first and foremost consider that our victory in the 2016 General Election is a historic venture. We observed also that President John Dramani Mahama’s victory would relegate our main opponents to opposition for a very long, if not perpetual period; hence a brighter future would be ensured for our party and the country. The general operations of AYM will be steered by an Executive committee which comprises the National, Regional and Constituencies. Before the launch on May 28th 2016, data across the country showed that we had worked so hard that AYM can boast of over Twenty Thousand (20,000) members. This is phenomenal and eventually pivotal in the election results. As a group therefore, we are proud to state that our avowed mission of ensuring that the president won the election by tooth or nail, would be achieved despite the circumstances. AYM is funded through contributions of some National and regional executive members, in addition to donations from some individuals who share in the mission and objectives of the group. With these, we are able to mobilize our own resources to run the activities of the AYM:

7. CONCLUSION:
As much as we cannot claim to be the only or best force that will soldier for the president’s campaign victory, we may confidently assert here that we are a group which has really tasked its sinews in every way and unreservedly to ensure victory.
