Koforidua Training Centre's commitment to practical hands-on training was exhibited when delegates visited the Manfe to Larteh road rehabilitation site. The project covers a total distance of 13.65km providing adequate distance for practical study and tour.

The delegates witnessed earthworks , concrete works (culverts and drains constructions, road pavement (sub-base and base) and road surfacing (using primer seal and seal).

Delegates from Lesotho Roads Directorate pays a courtesy call to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology's (KNUST) Regional Transport Research and Education Centre, Kumasi (TRECK) under the College of Engineering to learn about new areas of research in the road and transport sector.

The Director of TRECK, Prof. Helen M. K. Essandoh and her team introduced the activities of the Centre to the Delegates and round up the visit with a tour of their lab.

The visit is part of the Roads Directorate study tour in Ghana to understudy the road management system of the country.

The courtesy call has opened future collaborations between Lesotho's Roads Directorates and TRECK with KTC playing the role of a moderator.

Delegates from Lesotho Roads Directorate visited KTC for study tour on General Roads Management and Capacity Development.

The Delegates are expected to undertake series of workshops from KTC and the other Agencies Under the Ministry of Roads and Highways (MRH).

The objective of the 2 - week tour is to understudy Ghana's road management system and the role of KTC plays in capacity building of stakeholders in the road sector

The First Batch of the Pothole Patching Training for Road Contractors came to a successful end on Friday 15th August 2025.

Over the 3 day period, participants gain enormous both classroom and practical knowledge and skills in several areas including:
A.Pothole Assessment and Preparation
B. Estimation of Materials, Labour and Equipment costs
C. Bituminous Premix Preparation
D. Patching Techniques
E. Safety and Quality issues among others

Certificates awarded will be a prequite for award of pothole patching contracts by the Ministry and it's Agencies.

The second batch of training is scheduled for Wednesday 27th August to Friday 29th August 2025.
