Yesterday’s reflections on June 4th reaffirmed that probity, accountability, and social justice remain enduring obligations in our national life.
We remember Zakaria Samira, Musah Fuseini, Botwe Tackie, Abdallah Ayarek, Tajudeen Mohammed, Dompreh Emmanuel, Abass Ibrahim, and all who lost their lives through electoral violence; a canker eating into our system and unfortunately clouding our democracy.
Their memory strengthens our resolve to uphold accountability, protect human life, and ensure that such tragedies are never repeated in our democratic process, and that the families of those who lost their lives see justice.
