KMA joined the Muslim community in Kumasi to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha, a sacred occasion that reflects sacrifice, obedience, peace, and love for humanity.

Speaking on behalf of the Metropolitan Chief Executive, Hon. Richard Kwasi Ofori Boadi Agyemang , the Metro Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Dwira Darko, urged Muslims to continue upholding peace, unity, and exemplary values for national development.

He also commended the Ahmadiyya Muslim community for promoting harmony through their inspiring motto, “Love for All, Hatred for None.”

KMA wishes all Muslims Eid Mubarak and prays for peace and blessings for Ghana.

KMA REVIEWS PROGRESS AND DEVELOPMENT AGENDA AT GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has concluded a two-day General Assembly Meeting held at the Prempeh Assembly Hall to assess progress made and outline the next phase of development for the metropolis.

The Mayor of Kumasi, Richard Kwasi Ofori Boadi Agyemang presented a comprehensive report on achievements recorded since assuming office in April 2025, covering governance, infrastructure, revenue mobilization, sanitation, transport, and development projects.

Assembly Members also deliberated on key priorities aimed at accelerating growth and improving service delivery across Kumasi.

The meeting was chaired by the Presiding Member, Hon. Patrick Kwame Frimpong, with support from the Metro Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Dwira Darko.

The Mayor of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Hon. Richard Kwasi Ofori Boadi Agyemang today welcomed a delegation from the Canadian Embassy following directives from His Majesty Otumfo Osei Tutu II to engage the Assembly on the current challenges confronting the Oti Landfill Site.

The delegation was led by Mr. Craig Latimer, Chief Executive Officer of Portage Energy Group, a company specializing in Waste-to-Energy solutions aimed at converting waste into sustainable energy for development.

As part of the visit, the delegation toured the Oti Landfill Site to gain first-hand insight into the operational and environmental challenges facing the facility. The team also engaged management of JSO Waste Ltd to better understand the current state of operations and possible areas of collaboration.

The visit forms part of ongoing efforts by the Assembly to explore innovative and sustainable waste management solutions that will improve sanitation, protect the environment, and create long-term benefits for the people of Kumasi.
