We ask that You would intercede into prison cells and build up men and women to serve You. Break the dominion of the evil one who would enslave the prisoners to broken pride. Reach out Your powerful Spirit that impacts hearts and make a way for prisoners to be redeemed back to You. Take what they have been through and use it for Your glory. Tear away the layers of pain, confusion and anger and wash them clean with Your mercy.

Anger is associated with grieving the Holy Spirit, Eph 4:30-31, Stop grieving the Holy Spirit, the God by whom you have been sealed to the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and slander be removed from you, together with all evil.Anger is a violation of the royal family honor code, Col 3:8, But now you also put them all aside: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive speech from your mouth.

Anger can destroy a nation, Amos 1:11, So decrees the Lord, For three sins of Edom, even for four, I will not revoke its punishment. Because he pursued his brother with a sword, stifling all compassion, because his anger raged continually and he maintained his anger forever.

Anger is a sin from the old sin nature, Gal 5:19-20, Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, Anger is never an isolated sin, Prov 29:22, An angry person stirs up strife, and a hot tempered person abounds in transgression.

Satan had anger and it turned his genius into stupidity. No one is ever smart when they are angry, which is why many stupid and embarrassing things are said in anger. Whenever we have to deal with some problem, we must never lose our temper!

Anger motivates jealousy and cruelty, Prov 27:4, Wrath is fierce and anger is a flood, But who can stand before jealousy?
A person can't be angry without being cruel and unfair. Anger is related to stupidity, Eccl 7:9.
Do not be hasty to be angry in your right lobe; for anger resides in the bosom of fools.

Anger is a sin which motivates honor code violations like gossip, judging, maligning others. As with most sins, this results in chain sinning. Anger is also a mental attitude reaction. If it is unjustifiable it becomes a reaction of antagonism that makes it a sin, the reaction of irritation, exasperation, and irrationality. Justifiable reaction is never irrational.
The Bible distinguishes between mental and emotional anger, if our right lobe is dominating we can react in mental anger (orge). If our reaction is from emotional revolt, then it is emotional anger (thumos), both are unjustifiable reactions.

LOOKING FOR WAYS TO BE KIND.
In Esther 6:1-3, the king could not sleep, so he had the chronicles of the court read to him. When he heard of what Mordecai did, he asked what had been done for Mordecai. We, like he, should look for ways to be kind to others, including those who have been kind to us. If everyone simply tried to follow this rule, and to love and honor God, this world would be a very different and better place.

MANY WAYS TO BE KIND
There is no shortage of ways the Bible gives us to be kind. Here are some of them.
1.Love others as ourselves. Mt 22:39-40; Lk 12:31; James 2:8; Col 3:13-14; 1 Jn 3:16-8
2.Be rich in good deeds. 1 Tim 5:10; 6:18; 1 Peter 2:12,15
3.We are to be kind to each other Acts 28:2; 2 Pet 1:7; Eph 4:32
4.Be devoted to doing good. Titus 3:14; James 4:17
5.Aid, care, protect, help, and don't cause harm to others. 1 Cor 13:7; Rom 13:10;14:19-21
6.Be kind to both people and animals. Prov 12:10; Heb 13:3. However, killing and eating animals OK. Acts 10:10-5. Jesus ate fish and other meat.
7.Be hospitable to one another. 3 Jn 8. Be hospitable to all. 1 Tim 5:10; Heb 13:2; Titus 1:8
8.Be especially kind to widows and orphans. James 1:27; Dt 15:11; Psalm 68:5.
9.Be especially kind to the sick, hungry, naked, and imprisoned. Mt 25:34-46; Zech 7:9-10

Have You the Fruit?
Galatians 5:22 says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." (NIV) These are not nine different fruits, because the word fruit is singular; rather these are nine manifestations of the fruit of the Spirit in our lives. So kindness if an attitude we are to have on the inside.

Why Be Kind?
God commanded us to be kind to others in many places, and that alone is the only reason we need. However, an additional reason is out of gratitude, because God has been so kind to us.God has been kind to give us what we need in this life. God has also been kind to believers who are disobedient, as with Jonah. He has been kind to offer eternal life to all; however, as Jonah 4:2 says, "those who worship worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs." Other verses that show God’s kindness include Joel 2:13; 2 Cor. 6:6 Eph 2:7; Titus 3:4; Luke 6:35.
One final point is that God is the most kind being in the universe; God is not kind to the exclusion of His other attributes. Romans 11:22 says to consider the kindness and sternness of God.

Many decision should be easy for believers to make, because God has already spoken clearly on the topic.
2 Cor 6:14 Do not be yoked with unbelievers
This applies to many things, including marriage, dating, and business partnerships. It does not apply to employees serving a non-Christian enterprise, as the Bible’s examples of Joseph and Daniel show.
1 Thess 5:22: Avoid every form of evil. The Greek word for form eidos, can also mean appearance, fashion, shape, or sight. It comes form the word for "view".
James 4:17: Whoever knows what is good and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
Rom 14:23: for whatever is not of faith is sin
Col 3:17: And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him
1 Cor 6:18-20: glorify God in your body
Isa 2:5 Walk in the light of the Lord, and in God’s ancient way (Jer 6:16)
Isa 30:21: "And your ears shall hear a word behind you saying, "This is the way, walk in it, when you turn to the right or the left"
1 Cor 10:24: Do not seek your own good, but the good of others.
Php 2:3 Everyone should consider others as better [more important] than themselves
1 Cor 8:1 Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up
