FELICITATIONS
The Central University Parliament, wish to congratulate
Rtd. Rt. Hon. Michael Donatus Turkson on his new appointment as the Ambassador of Tertiary Institutions (SRC) in Ghana, under the auspices of the Youth Leadership Parliament, Ghana.
We were elated to hear of your new appointment and we must confess that It is difficult to express this delight in terms of words.
The news of your appointment did not come as a surprise to us. Having known the amount of hard work and commitment you put in everything you do. This gives us the urge to allude Biblically from the gospel of Proverbs 12 vs 24; "work hard and become a leader but be lazy and become a slave". Sir, this is an avidence that you worked hard to achieve this feat, thus this appointment is well merited.
Your sincerity and passion to outclass has borne such results. You kept your dedication firm and did not dislodge or give up any time in between, in spite of various distractions and challenges. These commitments has indeed brought you this far!
We are sure that under your great leadership, wisdom and guidance, Youth Leadership Parliament will strive to much greater heights and achievements.

THE UNADAULTERATED LEADERSHIP OF RTD. RT. HON MICHAEL DONATUS TURKSON OF THE CENTRAL UNIVERSITY PARLIAMENT HOUSE.
An embodiment of a trailblazer. Given the sweep of the scope of his feats on the student leadership strata, the adoration that he so rightly and legitimately earned, one can state emphatically without any equivocation that Rtd. Rt. Hon. Michael Donatus Turkson is one of the best thing that has ever happened to student leadership. He ignited pride and lifted up the self-esteem of the Central University Parliament House.
Under his leadership we witnessed the unprecedented ground breaking “My ParlWeek celebration” and a Public lecture themed “students and Politics”, which was in commemoration of the appointment of Prof. Kwesi Yankah as the Minister of State in Charge of Tertiary Education by H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo. The celebrations saw the likes of distinguished personalities from the political sphere like Hon. Elizabeth Afoley Quaye (Min. of fisheries and Aquaculture), who spoke against political intolerance and advised the need to invest in our passion and inculcate the habit of prayer.
Hon. Prof. Kwesi Yankah (Min. of State in charge of Tertiary Education) who said that, “the youth of today are malleable and vulnerable. To be a leader, first be a servant, live up to your expectations and title because to whom much is given, much is expected. Good leadership must have a sense of humility and not lord their powers over others.”
Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah (Dept. Min. of Information and Communication), Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP for Ningo Prampram Constituency) and Hon. Barbara Asher Ayisi (Dept. Min. Of Education).
Under his leadership, he also instituted the “Sui Generis” Awards, a unique maiden award in the CUPH , which caught the attention and interest of students and staff of the University. The prime motive for introducing the Awards is because highlighting excellence was something that really mattered to him. As he once said, “it is very crucial for each and every one of us to gain recognition for our services”. Hence, the “Sui Generis” awards is to recognise, then reward the efforts of student leaders, head of associations, lecturers and honourable members of the Central University Parliament House. The award scheme rewarded those who went the extra mile and stood out from the competition for the best reasons.
I boast with the good and recommendable leadership of Rtd. Rt. Hon. Michael Donatus Turkson because, I am one of the countless hundreds of people who draw inspiration from his leadership. The unprecedented achievement of this gem makes me very optimistic to know that, this crop of young generation are going to be in-charge. His pristine achievements did not go unrecognised. Consequently, he was awarded the Most Influential Student leader at the Central University Excellence Awards 2017, he was awarded a plaque by Studicop Network Ghana, as the Most Influential, innovative and Distinguished Student leader of the year and was also presented a citation of honour by Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu (Min. of State in Charge of Parliamentary Affairs and the Majority Leader of the National Parliament of Ghana).
Hon. Michael Donatus Turkson was not only a leader of a movement, but a dexterous student leader who was true to his vision. We wish him all the best as he climbs up the leadership pedestal. And perhaps in the political sphere.
Long live Central University Parliament House
Long live Central University
Long live Ghana!
