Safeguarding Adult Lead Manager (SALM) Training
Yesterday, professionals from across Gibraltar came together for Safeguarding Adult Lead Manager (SALM) training, delivered by the Safeguarding Adult Coordinator and a Senior Social Worker.
Representatives from the Care Agency , Gibraltar Health Authority, Community Care Domiciliary Services and other frontline services explored how to better recognise and respond to signs of abuse and neglect, while strengthening their understanding of safeguarding roles and responsibilities.
A key message from the day was clear: safeguarding is a shared responsibility. No single organisation has the full picture when supporting vulnerable adults, which makes collaboration and timely information sharing essential to protecting those at risk.
By working together, remaining vigilant, and putting the welfare, dignity, and rights of individuals first, we can continue to strengthen safeguarding across our community.
